This year’s summer season of has officially kick off, with Sony being the first company to hold a game conference this month. On June 2 2026 at 5PM EST, the publisher held a State of Play where multiple games were either announced or had further details revealed about them. Below is a fully detailed report of everything that was shown off during this showcase
Wolverine
The State of Play naturally kicked off with another look at what may be the most anticipated Playstation Studios game: Wolverine. This extended look of the game showcased a stealth and action sequence as well as revealed that Wolverine wouldn’t be the only mutant to appear in the game’s story, as players can expect to see Sabertooth Jean Grey as well!
Marvel Tokon
Keeping up the Marvel news, a new trailer for Marvel Tokon was showcased. This trailer not only showed off elements of the game’s story but also revealed Doctor’s Doom’s team! In addition to Doom himself, gamers will get to play as Magneto, Green Goblin, and Carnage!
Rayman Legends Retold
Ubisoft shocked the whole world with the reveal of a Rayman Legends remake, bringing the only Rayman game that is available on modern consoles to those same consoles. This remake of a modern classic will be released on October 1 2026
Bancho the Chef
After the runaway success that was Dave the DIver, it should come as no surprise that a spinoff is in development. Bancho the Chef will take this world into a whole new direction and is available to wishlist now
Kemuri: Hunt the Unseen
One of the most exciting reveals of the State of Play was the return of Ikumi Nakamura and a trailer showcase the fast-paced yokai fighting gameplay of Kemuri, which is currently scheduled to release in 2027.
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis
Next, viewers were shown a trailer of the upcoming remake of the original Tomb Raider game, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis. While this trailer was impressive, it was immediately followed with the sad news that the game would be delayed to February 12, 2027.
The Lost Wild
Following up one dinosaur game with another, Amazon Game Studios revealed a The Lost WIld, a survival game where the player must navigate their way around and survive against these deadly beasts
Phantom Blade 0
There was only a brief look at Phantom Blade 0 in the State of Play, merely a taste to keep players hype for the upcoming title
Dune Awakening
What didn’t get only a brief look though was Dune, which had an extensive showcase to show off the game’s crafting, combat, and navigation. Special emphasis was put on the single player mode that the game would be receiving on
Dynasty Warriors 3 Remastered
Next, players finally got another look at Dynasty Warriors 3 Remastered, which will be launching on October 1 2026. In addition to the game’s original roster, the game will be adding the protagonist of Dynasty Warriors: Origins as a playable character.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword
Capcom’s blockbuster title of the summer, Onimusha: Way of the Sword received a new trailer during the State of Play, which showcased much about the game’s combat and story. In addition to that, it was revealed that a demo for the game would be available for download today! This title is currently scheduled to released on September 25, 2026.
Silent Hill: Townfall
Annapurna’s upcoming Silent Hill game got its first gameplay trailer at the State of Play, which showcased the game’s first person perspective, some puzzles, and a whole lot of story details. The game is currently scheduled to release on September 24, 2026
Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve
Next, Bandai Namco entertainment showcased another trailer for the highly anticipated Ace Combat 8. While this trailer primarily focused on the story, players were given a release date of October 2, 2026. Bandai will also be releasing a port of Ace Combat Zero at the same time.
Stuntman Hollywood
One of the biggest surprises in the State of Play was the revival of the long dormant Stuntman franchise, which will be receiving a new game with Stuntman Hollywood
ILL
First-person horror fans were served well this State of Play as a horrifying shooter titled ILL was shown off
Control Resonant
Control Resonant was the next game to receive a trailer, this one much more focused on the plot of the game compared to earlier showcases. Fans of the original will be pleased to see the return of Casper Darling in this trailer. The game is currently scheduled to release on August 27, 2026.
Marathon
Those who have become obsessed with Bungie’s ongoing shooter game Marathon will be happy to learn that there was a trailer for the game’s second season at this State of Play

Until Dawn 2
Until Dawn has become an understated franchise over the years, with multiple remasters and a movie. What there hasn’t been until now though was a sequel. This State of Play finally revealed a new title that fans of Until Dawn will be able to look forward to a new game in the near future.
God of War: Laufey
Finally, the State of Play ended with a whopping 20-minute long trailer for the next God of War game. This title will be the first game in the series where players won’t be playing as Kratos but rather as Faye.
