Once you select to start a new game in Dragon’s Dogma 2, there’s no button in the main menu that would allow you to restart and create a new character. Here’s how to fix this in 4 easy steps and start the game over:
- Disable cloud sync in Steam. To do this open Settings > Cloud, and you’ll find the toggle.
- Locate your Steam folder and go to this directory: …\Steam\userdata\[Steam id]\2054970\remote\win64_save\
- Delete the data000.bin file.
- Go to main menu and choose to continue from the last saved game. It will give you an error. Confirm.
Following these steps will make the Start Game button appear on the main menu, allowing you to force the game to let you restart your progress.
