On November 28, 2023, game publisher Capcom held a showcase for their upcoming Action Role Playing Game Dragon’s Dogma 2. This showcase was set to reveal the game’s release date as well as unveil a new trailer that would give extra details about the game.

The trailer that premiered during the stream showcased a fair amount of cutscenes that will occur during the game’s plot. Giving players a taste of the grand journey that the Arisen will go on.

After these story details, viewers of the stream got to watch gameplay footage of the Arisen fighting off giant beasts that the player can climb the limbs of to damage. Alternative methods to damage the beast include riding birds to land on its head or launching arrows from a distance.

During the stream, Capcom put great emphasis on how battles in this game can be approached in a variety of ways. Allowing a great amount of player freedom.

After the battle showcase, Capcom gave players a demonstration of a side quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2. This side quest featured the Arisen helping two elven brothers. This side quest was shown so Capcom could showcase the game’s eleven languages and how the player will need party members who understand it to communicate with them.

Next, we were shown a great amount of the game’s new vocation: Trickster. Only the Arisen can become a trickster, a class that has the ability to create illusions to fool the enemy AI or buff your pawns.

The Trickster vocation is designed for players who want to take a step back from combat and manipulate the battle from the sidelines.
