Fans of Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball franchise have been on the edge of their seats waiting for the next info on Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero to be revealed. With many speculating on what characters could be added to fill up the promised gigantic roster size.
On the morning of May 16, 2024, the May 2024 issue of V-Jump Magazine was released and scans quickly made their way to the internet as fans turned to this month’s page about Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero. Just like in previous months, there was a full page dedicated to the game!
In these magazine scans, several new characters were announced for the game. All of these new roster additions were chosen with the theme of “Next Generation Saiyans” and are as follows:
- Goten
- Trunks
- Caulifla
- Kale
- Kefla
- Gotenks

All of these Next Generation Saiyans are pulled directly from Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super, causing many to cheer as their favorite characters get confirmed but also drawing attention to a notable absence from this group.
When describing the category of Nest Generation Saiyans, many Dragon Ball fans would of course list the character Pan from the ending chapters of Dragon Ball and star of Dragon Ball GT. Unfortunately, Pan seems to be sitting out from this game as there is currently no GT content in sight.
With these newly confirmed additions, Dragon Ball Spark Zero has an overwhelmingly large roster size of 67 characters. Bandai has currently shown no signs of slowing down with these roster reveals, promising one of the biggest Dragon Ball game rosters of all time!
Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero will be launching on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X, and on PC via Steam at a currently unspecified date. There are currently rumors that Bandai is aiming for a Fall release, but that is not currently confirmed.
