Every Auction in Rika Suzuki’s Dark Auction is split into four sections where the player must perform different tasks to ensure that the target’s memory is correct so they can win the item they desire. In order to get every achievement in the game, players must complete all of these auctions without making a single mistake. While these aren’t the hardest mysteries in the world to solve, the added stress of knowing a single mistake spells failure can weigh on the mind of many, especially as the difficulty does increase later in the game. Dark Auction – Auction 3 Walkthrough
The third auction in the game revolves around Christoph, his relationship with both his mother and grandmother, as well as his alternate personality Adolf. Like the previous auctions this one is split into four separate stages. In the walkthrough below we have seperated each stage so you may look at them one at a time.
Stage 1
For the first stage you’ll need to make correct dialogue choices to fill in the empty puzzle pieces. There are six pieces to fill in during this stage. The correct choices to make are:
- Large Jewelery Box
- Red Dress
- Black Dog
- Grandmother’s Cane
- Chain and Padlock
- Stacked Dishes
Stage 2
During the second stage you’ll need to fill in the blanks during the timeline pictured above with the images you obtained during the previous stage. There are three blank spaces during this stage, fill them in with the following information
- Select space 2 and fill it with image 3 (The Locked Door)
- Select space 4 and fill it with image 1 (The Red Room)
- Select space 9 and fill it with image 2 (Christoph’s Grandmother’s Death)
Stage 3
Then for the third stage you’ll need to find parts of the timeline you just constructed with contradict reality and use information you have to fix them. During this auction there are four different contradictions in the timeline. Here’s how you’ll fix them.
- Replace the “Stacked Dishes” red dot (Located on the 2nd slide) with “Pile of Books”
- Replace the “Red Dress” red dot (Located on the 4th slide) with “Mourning Hat”
- Replace the “Green Desk Lamp” red dot (Located on the 6th slide) with “Red Desk Lamp”
- Replace the “Grandmother’s Can” red dot (Located on the 9th slide) with “Edelweiss Stained With Blood”
Stage 4
Finally, you’ll need to use the memories you obtained in the previous stage to fill in the blank memories in the final stage of the auction. Here are all the blanks you’ll need to fill
- Use the Lantern on Film 3
- Use the Leather Bookmark on Film 5
- Use the Black Dress on Film 8
- Use the Flame Brooch on Film 6
