Dark Auction breaks common mystery game trends by not having five or six chapters, but rather seven. However because the cast consists of only six characters, this means that one of them has to double dip: Karla. Her second auction works just like all the others in the game, which means you can follow the same patterns you’ve been using to get this far into the game and scrap by perfectly fine. Of course, if one wants to get every achievement in the game they must also complete this entire auction without making a single mistake, which can be a bit stressful is a small detail or two slips from your mind. Dark Auction – Karla Second Auction Walkthrough
By some twist of fate, Karla is the target of the dark auction for a second time. The difficulty of this one is about the same as her first auction, having less moving parts to juggle in the first and third stage than the last few. Each stage’s walkthrough is detailed down below.
Stage 1
For the first stage you’ll need to make correct dialogue choices to fill in the empty puzzle pieces. There are seven pieces to fill in during this stage. The correct choices to make are:
- White Wallet full of Money
- Fortune-Telling Book
- Piano Sheet Music
Stage 2
During the second stage you’ll need to fill in the blanks during the timeline pictured above with the images you obtained during the previous stage. There are three blank spaces during this stage, fill them in with the following information
- Select space 6 and fill it with image 1 (Karla giving her Grandfather the Letter)
- Select space 7 and fill it with image 2 (Ida giving Karla the Wallet)
- Select space 9 and fill it with image 3 (Ida leaving behing the Piano Music Sheet)
Stage 3
Then for the third stage you’ll need to find parts of the timeline you just constructed which contradict reality and use information you have to fix them. During this auction there are four different contradictions in the timeline. Here’s how you’ll fix them.
- Replace the “Fortune Telling Book” red dot (Located on the 6th slide) with “Radio Transceiver”
- Replace the “White Wallet” red dot (Located on the 7th slide) with “White Handkerchief”
- Replace the “Piano Music Sheet” red dot (Located on the 9th slide) with “Becker Family Photo”
Stage 4
Finally, you’ll need to use the memories you obtained in the previous stage to fill in the blank memories in the final stage of the auction. Here are all the blanks you’ll need to fill
- Use the Field of White Flowers on Film 1
- Use the Portrait of Maria on Film 3
- Use the Riechglyph Cipher Conversion Sheet on Film 5
