Stella’s first job as the Chief of Security is to figure out an interesting dissidence case. A piece of paper has been found by Janitor Rose and it’s your job to figure out where this stolen material has been taken from. There are only a couple of rooms in the Public Area, but only one of them is the right answer. In this guide we will show you how you’re supposed to solve the Paper Chase case in Between Horizons, the code to the Activities Room Keypad, and the exact solution that you’ll need to give at the end.
The Solution for the Paper Chase Case in Between Horizons
The best way to start this case is to first head down into Inner Hull B, by going where your father died, and entering the Recycling Room. Here, you’ll scan the Recycling Times, which will be a huge hint for where the paper must have been stolen.
You will learn that 260g of paper was recycled at 05:05, then 255g at 06:02, and then another 255g at 06:04.
Then, talk to Engineer Isaac to the right of the screen you scanned to learn that only three locations use paper in the Zephyr: the Activities Room, the School, and the Art Institute.
All of these are situated in the Public Area. You can enter both the School and the Art Institute and find that they have 940g and 495g of paper left over. However, the Activities Room will be locked behind a keypad.
You can either try a random code, which is hinted at by looking at the drawing of the keypad, or talk to Devran to find it out. Devran is situated in the Residential Area, right under Rose’s Bunk.
Code to Activities Room Keypad

The code for the Activities Room Keypad is 2480.
Solving the Case
If you’ve watched the Founders Day done by Mariola, Leona will also be inside the Art Institute and will tell you if you ask about the stack of paper that they get 750g paper each week. She’ll also tell you that she recycled at around 6.
Talking to Devran about the same thing will get you the exact same answers. This means that both the Activities Room and the Art Institute are the ones that recycled at 255g at 6, and they both were supposed to have 750g.
By looking at the stacks, you will notice that the Activities Room only has 490g of paper, instead of 495, which they were supposed to have. So, this means that the Activities Room is the solution to this case. The Activities Room is the location where the paper was taken from.
