Video game developer and publisher Larian Studios has surprised the internet by suddenly announcing a physical and deluxe edition for their critically acclaimed RPG Baldur’s Gate 3.
The deluxe edition of Baldur’s Gate 3 will include a physical copy of the game for the platform of your choice. The PC version will include a custom BG3 installer + a Steam serial key, the PS5 version of the game will be split between two discs, and the Xbox Series S|X versions will be split between three discs.
Other physical collectibles included with the deluxe edition of the game include a map of the world, a 3 CD soundtrack, 32 stickers of the cast/classic D&D monsters, and a Mind Flayer poster.
In addition to physical collectibles, the deluxe edition of Baldur’s Gate 3 will also include several packs of in-game DLC such as extra Bard songs, Divinity equipment, and extra camp supplies.
Several other digital items included in this package are a digital version of the Baldur’s Gate 3 soundtrack, a digital art book, and digital D&D character sheets for each Baldur’s Gate 3 Origin Character.
The deluxe edition of Baldur’s Gate 3 is currently available to order via Larian Studios’ website. This special edition of the game is currently being priced at $80 dollars, only $20 more expensive than the current digital pricing of the game.
Gamers who pre-order their copies now can expect the game to arrive on their doorsteps within the first quarter of 2024.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is currently available to purchase on PC via Steam and GOG, with the PlayStation 5 version expected to be released on September 2, 2023. An Xbox Series S|X port of the game is also expected to be released in 2023, with the exact date to be announced at the upcoming Game Awards.
