Of course, maybe you don’t want to grind through every requisition point, wait for long build times, or march blindly across a fog-covered battlefield. That’s understandable. So here are all the console commands you can use in Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War – Definitive Edition to bend the rules of war, boost your armies, and crush the enemies of the Imperium or anyone else standing in your way.
If you have any problems with the commands and need extra help you can hit me up directly on Discord for answers in the help channel!
How to Activate Console Commands / Cheats in Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War – Definitive Edition
If you have the game on Steam, here’s how to enable cheats:
- In your Steam Library, right-click Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War – Definitive Edition.
- Select Properties.
- Choose Launch Options.
- Paste“-dev” (without the quotation marks).
- Launch your game.
Now, after opening up the game, press the CTRL + SHIFT + ~ (Tilde) in the upper left part of the keyboard to open the console. All codes are case-sensitive, so make sure to write them properly!
If you have the GOG version of the game, here’s how to enable the command console:
- Navigate to where the W40k_gog.exe is located (e.g. C:\GOG Galaxy\Dawn of War Definitive Edition\).
- Right click on W40k_gog.exe and create a shortcut.
- Right click on that shortcut, click properties and add “-dev” to Target (e.g. “C:\GOG Galaxy\Dawn of War Definitive Edition\W40k_gog.exe” -dev).
- From now on start the game via this shortcut.
Disclaimer: You can’t seem to copy and paste cheats into this game, you’ll have to manually write them yourself!
