With February each its halfway point soon, fans of Fate/Grand Order have been on the edge of their seats waiting for this year’s Valentine’s Day event and new servant to be added to the game.

Ever since it launched eight years ago, it has been a yearly tradition for Fate/Grand Order to hold a two-week-long event on Valentine’s Day and release a single new 5-stat servant during the event.

This year will be no different as during a livestream this morning, game publishers Type-Moon and Lasengle hosted a livestream to showcase this new servant and reveal details about other projects such as Fate/Samurai Remnant.

In a few days, Fate/Grand Order will be receiving a gacha banner for an entirely new character called Andromeda. This new servant will be a 5-star character of the Rider class. There is currently no info on her skills or NP type.

In Greek mythology, Andromeda was the wife of Perseus who was boasted about being even more beautiful than the Nereids. Considering that the Nereids aren’t in Fate/Grand Order, the jury is still out on whether that holds true here.

Alongside the reveal of Andromeda, Type-Moon also gave more info on the upcoming Fate/Samurai Remnant Season Pass DLC. While vague, we received the statements that Fate/Samurai Remnant’s second DLC would be “cool and serious”, and that the third DLC will be more “Koei Tecmo styled”.

Those unfamiliar with the games of Koei Tecmo may be confused by that second statement. The studio is well known for its historical drama video games such as Nobunaga’s Ambition and Dynasty Warriors, so it’s likely the third DLC will feature a character from a period familiar to Koei.

Fate/Grand Order’s newest Valentine’s event “Valentine’s 2024 ~Beyond the Chocolate River~” will begin later this week. The gacha banner will feature new servant Andromeda alongside a rotating cast of other 5-star servants.

Fate/Grand Order is currently available to download for Android and IOS mobile devices.
