Whether they be cooked into food, placed as bait for monsters, or used as farming material, the player will be spending almost their entire playthrough gathering rare materials for various purposes. One of these items, Paradise Fish, have a particular good use for a certain character’s recruitment quest yet are also hard to find. Being a rare material, Paradise Fish are excellent for healing your party at feasts while on the world map or in dungeons and are excellent for luring in Orniuses as Cai. However, While all of these uses are good, The real reason you’ll want to get at least one Paradise Fish during your playthorugh is because the item is required to recruit Ninae, as she asks for one as payment for joining your clan.
So let’s go grab a Paradise Fish. You’ll be able to find these fish in Lake Brontes near the southern edge of the continent. They are a rare material drop and while you may think save scumming until you get one is the play here, sadly that won’t work. I experimented myself and it seems that the game’s RNG pre-loads at least 10 turns worth of searching. You’re just going to have to hope you get lucky on this one.
This is the only area in the game where Paradise Fish can spawn, so whenever you’re in the area make sure you stop by and see if you can catch one, lest you be left without one in your inventory by the time you want to recruit Ninae. If you are playing Theodora’s route, you can alternatively send a Battalion out to search the area for you.
