Duskfade is a game that wears its inspirations on its sleeve and perhaps there is no bigger example of that than the game’s main weapon: A giant key that Zirian swings around in order to defeat dark creatures. If the game’s Kingdom Hearts inspirations weren’t clear enough just from that and various aspects of the UI, it’s also a title that allows players to dress up as Sora from Kingdom Hearts if you play long enough. If you are playing Duskfade and are curious about this costume or are simply curious about what it looks like, then please feel free to read through this guide on how to unlock the Kingdom Hearts skin in Duskfade.
Kingdom Key Skin Unlock

After completing the game’s first world, you’ll unlock the ability to go to the Sea section of Tick Town and more importantly, the Blacksmith. Here you will be able to recolor your weapon in ten different ways. However, you need to bring Rainbow Ingots to the Blacksmith in order to unlock their color-scheme.

Thankfully, we won’t have to travel too far in order to unlock the Kingdom Key colors as that Rainbow Ingot can be bought from the Traveler in town for the small price of 500 shards. After buying that Ingot, return to the Blacksmith and purchase the “Shared Memories” skin for your weapon and it’ll look just like Sora’s iconic weapon.

Sora Outfit Unlock

Now that we’ve gotten our Kingdom Key, let’s get a Sora outfit to match it. Sadly you’ll have to wait quite a while to get this, as the shop which sells costumes and recolors of costumes doesn’t unlock until you have cleared the game’s second world. Once you have, you’ll be able to travel to the Hills section of Tick Town and interact with Tailord.
Tailord’s shop offers six different costumes for Zirian to wear and five different colors for each of them. Normally, you would need to catch Thieving Cats to unlock costumes, but because the Sora outfit is a recolor of Zirian’s default look we won’t need to do that. Instead, you’ll just need to purchase the “World Hopper” skin for your default costume for 1 Dye Flask and 500 shards.

If the colors of this costume weren’t enough to make the reference clear, the name “World Hopper” is a clear reference to how Sora travels to multiple worlds in Kingdom Hearts. Plenty of the other skins available in the shop have similar references in their names, such as a green skin called “Hero of TIme”.
