The Calvard arc of Falcom’s Trails series features an odd gameplay mechanic called LGC Alignment where the game will keep track of the player’s moral alignment over the course of the game. While this had a large effect on the plot of the first Daybreak game, in Beyond the Horizon it merely exists for the purpose of giving the plaeyer some extra achievements based on their alignment raising. Every sidequest in the game will effect the player’s alignment in some manner, though anyone doing every quest in the game will gain a lot of Law points by default. In addition to the mandatory LGC alignment points and the law points that nearly every quest in the game gives, several of the game’s side quests will give the player an option to decide how they will end, with their choice effecting both the cutscene and the quest’s LGC Alignment reward. About half of the side quests in the game will end with an LGC choice for the player to make. The game marks small alignment changes with a + and larger changes with a ++, below is a list of every quest with an LGC Alignment Choice and what effect they will have.
