Traversing through the world of Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter is rarely a difficult task. The game’s world and map are easy to read and it rarely takes longer than a few minutes to move from Point A to Point B. What happens when the game takes away that easy navigation though and instead throws the player into a maze-like woods that they only have a few attempts to escape? Well that exact scenario happens in the game’s fourth chapter, as the player must trek their way through Mistwald’s Lost Woods in order to earn some extra BP and reach the chapter’s boss. How to Escape Mistwald’s Lost Woods in Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter
Before you even enter the Lost Woods I would heavily advise that you both equip your party with accessories that protect them from the sleep and confuse status effects and also SAVE. Not only will you have only a few attempts to navigate your way through the Lost Woods, but regardless of if you succeed or fail you will immediately be thrown into a boss fight.
Once you have entered the Lost Woods, you’ll have to navigate your way through a series of very similar yet slightly different rooms. Walk into the wrong room and a quiet bell will chime as mist envelopes you, sending you back to the start. Enter the correct room and you’ll hear a loud bell chime.
The correct rooms to travel into have visual keys that you need to be looking out for as your progress, such as flowers pointing toward them or butterflies floating nearby. These clues are all very subtle though, so it you’re still having trouble figuring out where to go, here are exact directions for navigating through these woods.
- Head North
- Turn right
- Turn left
- Turn left
- Go straight ahead
- Go straight again
- Turn left, heading south
- Turn left again
- Turn right, There will be a treasure chest in the next room
- Head straight from where you entered the room with the treasure
- Turn right
- Turn right again
- Go straight
- Turn left
Once you have entered the final room, you’ll immedietely be transported out of the Lost Woods. You’ll immedietely now that you’ve succeeded as the game will give you a notification that you’ve earned two bonus BP. Now that you’ve escaped, prepare yourself for a boss fight.
