All Secrets Locations in Tomb Raider 1 Remastered

There are 45 Secrets hidden all over the levels and maps of Tomb Raider 1 Remastered, with most of the levels holding around 3 of them each.

This guide isn’t complete and it’s a Work in Progress. We’ll do our best to finish it as soon as possible.

Level 1 – Caves Secrets

The Caves are a relatively easy part of the game to complete, but the Secrets here are very easy to miss.

Secret 1

Right from the start of the level, walk following the main path and at some point Lara will look up, showing the path that she’s supposed to climb. However, continue straight and enter a dark large room.

At the end of the room, on the left, there’s a little sloped platform that you can jump off of into a hidden room in the upper left corner. Players can find Secret 1, a Small Medi Pack, in the room, on the right.

Secret 2

Climb up following the animal footprints in the snow and you will enter a large cavern with bats that will attack on sight. Instead of going straight, go to the left.

Players will now reach a relatively large illuminated space. Walk up to the wall on the right and jump to climb into a hidden, dark room. End the bat inside and pick up Secret number 2, another Small Medi Pack.

Secret 3

After leaving a room with two wooden bridges, players will enter a small room that has a jungle feel to it, with a large broken stone bridge. Jump across it, walk down the stairs into the next room, and defeat the two wild dogs.

In the northern part of the room, there’s a platform that players can jump on with a lot of vines sticking around it. Jump on it and enter the hidden corridor with an Incan design at the end of it. The Large Medi Pack, Secret 3, is standing on the right inside the room.

Level 2 – City of Vilcabamba Secrets

With a lot more dangers to fight, the City of Vilcabamba is full of Secrets as well.

Secret 1

There’s a nice, large area in the City with a square in the ground that leads to an underground water section. Jump inside, swim straight the only available way, and go to the right at the fork in the path.

Go upwards to the left and then go behind the pillar on the left. Pull the lever hidden behind the pillar.

Go back down and head straight instead of going back to the left, until you reach an illuminated area where you can get out of the water. Go to the upper right part of the room, as you would look at it from the way you came to find the hidden room you opened by pulling the lever.

Secret 1, Magnum Clips, is in that room, alongside a Small Medi Pack which counts as a Pickup.

Secret 2

Jump back into the water and go in the same room with the last lever. However, this time, instead of going to the left, swim to the right. There’s an illuminated spot with a lever there that is impossible to miss.

Pull the lever and swim up to get inside another hidden room. This Secret room hold a Small Medi Pack.

Secret 3

Right at the exit of the City, there are some stairs to the left that Lara can go up on.

Up the stairs, players will reach a red/orange illuminated room. Go to the right two times and jump down into a dark, hidden room. In this room, you can pick up Secret 3, Uzi Clips.

Level 3 – Lost Valley Secrets

The Lost Valley level will be the hardest one to complete, considering there are 5 Secrets hidden around here.

Secret 1

There’s a relatively large area in the level with two palm trees and a broken bridge up in the distance.

Look the opposite way of the bridge and you will see three things: a hole high up in the mountain, a place that you can climb up on, and a hole in the ground that leads to water. Go up to the space in the middle, where you can climb up.

Behind the rock there, players will find the first Secret on this map, Shotgun Shells.

Secret 2

In the exact location as Secret 1, look up at the waterfall that hits the water pool.

Climb up using the rock ledges on the left to reach the top of the waterfall and go inside. There will be an illuminated part inside where you’ll get Shotgun and SMG Shells.

Secret 3

In the same large area from earlier, go to the right instead of toward the broken bridge, where you will find a temple. To find the Secret Small Medi Pack, Ammo, and Shotgun Shells, you will need to climb on top of the temple.

On the right you will find some rocks to climb and jump on. There will be ledges to jump on to advance and you will reach the roof relatively fast.

Secret 4

Later in the level you will reach a room with a lot of cogs on a wall. Place three cogs on the wall, use the lever, and then take a few steps back toward the bridge you just walked on and hang from the ledge.

Go to the place where a lot of water goes through and climb up the dark corners on the right to find Secret 4.

Secret 5

From Secret 4, jump into the water under the bridge and start swimming following the water. You will find a green underground section where you can swim for a while.

There are no other routes to go besides the correct one, so swim until you find a way out. At the exit, players will find a Secret room with 2 Pickups.

Level 4 – Tomb of Qualopec Secrets

Though the Tomb is one of the smallest levels in the game, is has three hidden Secrets players can find.

Secret 1

At the start of the level, players will find themselves in a room with three exits: one to the left, one straight ahead, with a sloped path, and one to the right, which can be opened by dragging a lever on the right. Go through the open hole to the left.

Right when you reach a set of stairs, there will be a dart trap on the left. Go right next to the trap and jump to climb next to the statue up there. Walk behind the statue, push the wall, and discover a Secret room with Shotgun Shells inside it. Careful, however, since the floor will fall when you step on it.

Secret 2

The second Secret is in the same room as the previous one. The floor tiles will fall, revealing spikes on the ground. From the tile that can’t fall, where you found the Shotgun Shells, climb down under where you’ll find Secret 2, Magnum Clips. To get out of the room, jump back on the invincible tile and jump out of the room.

Secret 3

At the end of the level, after picking up the artifact, the Tomb will start crumbling. As you run toward the exit, you will reach an area where you will have to jump into water. Inside the water, look to the right to find a passage you can swim through.

Inside this Secret passage, at the end where you can get out, there will be one Large Medi Pack and Magnum Clips waiting for you.

Level 5 – St Francis’ Folly Secrets

Now, all the way in Greece, Lara Croft will have to find 4 very well hidden Secrets. Unfortunately, you will need very good platforming skills to get all of these.

Secret 1

The first Secret will be very hard to reach if your platforming skills aren’t up to par. Right at the entrance of the level, players will need to reach a platform up to the right, shown in the image above.

There will be a movable block under it. Move it the opposite way from the platform and jump to the smallest closest block. From there, jump to the next block and then on to the platform, reaching the worst platforming room in the game.

So, there are two sloped platforms on the first floor. Jump on the one on the left while facing it and backflip onto the one on the right. Then, instantly jump from the one on the right upward toward the next floor. The strategy will be the same on the next floor, and you will reach the Secret room once you’ve beaten this challenge.

Secret 2

Right over the entrance to the big room with blocks, there’s a platform that you can see from the platform from Secret 1.

Jump using the blocks to the opposite side of the room from Secret 1 and use the platforms to reach the hole in the wall where Secret 2 is hidden. Walk down that hallway and prepare to jump down a slope that leads to a pool with a crocodile in it.

At the end of the slope, there will be a platform that you can use to backflip and reach the Secret room. The best way to do this would be to slide down the initial slope backwards, to grab the ledge at the end, and then drop down and backflip off the sloped platform.

Secret 3

From Secret 2’s room, jump on the sloped platform across the water and then down into the crocodile-infested pool. Swim straight ahead and then upward to discover another Secret room.

Secret 4

After pulling a lever and getting rid of the water where the crocodile is hunting, players will reach a large area full of platforming challenges. The first thing you will need to do here is pull a lever right at the start of the platforming section. The arrow in the image above points at the lever.

Then, jump on the gray square on top of the Atlas door to the right of the lever you just pulled. The moment you get off that pad you will have 10 seconds to reach the bottom floor, otherwise the door to the Secret room will close.

The door is directly below the Atlas door, to the left. Unfortunately, you can’t just jump down, since you’ll lose all health, so try to quickly jump from platform to platform, losing some health along the way, to reach the door as fast as humanly possible.

Level 6 – Colosseum Secrets

The Colosseum is full of puzzles and hidden locations with levers. There are also three Secret rooms players will need to find.

Secret 1

To get the first Secret in this level, you will need to climb to the top of the external parts of the Colosseum. Go to the left and use the rocks to climb on the first outer floor of the Colosseum.

If you want to also get the Pickup here, walk all the way to the end of the Colosseum on this floor. Go back and use the stone platform right where you climbed to get to the second floor.

Walk all the way to the end of the floor, jump across the space there to reach the end, and jump to the rocky slope on the right. The Secret will be at the end of the rocky path, right over the pool of water you came from.

Secret 2

Some players have probably seen while going for Secret 1 another opening in the rocks, right when jumping off of the Colosseum. That is where we are going now. Follow the path and reach a room with two crocodiles in it. Defeat them to get a Pickup from down there.

Up on the wall on the left there’s a crack that you can grab onto. While holding onto the ledge, go to the right until you’ve reached a hole in the wall big enough to climb into. There’s Secret room number 2.

Secret 3

After getting past the giant boulder trap, players will open a door to a room with three columns and a lever at the top. In the room, you will have to pass a quick test to reach the Secret room. First, get very close to the column on the left, exactly where the arrow above is pointing.

Players will now hear the door above opening. The moment you leave from the column you have around 5 seconds to reach the Secret room.

To do this you will need to jump perfectly from the column, to the platform in the front, then to the right, behind, right, and in front to reach the room. You can’t move Lara around, you’ll just need to directly jump each time.
