The Silent Hill franchise is practically known for its multiple endings. While a first playthrough of any given game in the series will produce a default ending, taking certain actions on repeated playthroughs will result in vastly altered endings which give new light to the story and its themes. Silent Hill f is no different and in fact encouraged multiple playthroughs via a narrative similar to other Ryukishi games like Umineko No Naku Koro Ni. Going for every ending in the game is how one gets the true complete Silent Hill f experience. If you are confused by what the ending requirements the game lists mean or simply want instruction on how to perform them, consider using this guide on how to get every single ending in Silent Hill f

Silent Hill f – How to Obtain the Sacred Sword

To forget the Sacred Sword, you’ll need to find five hidden jizo statues throughout a second playthrough and present them with offerings that can be found throughout the town. Below is a list of the Jizo statutes, their locations, and where to find the offerings that must be given to them.

Jizo Statue 1 – This Jizo statue can be found right at the start of an NG+ playthrough. It is located by a house on your way down to the main town, before any of the supernatural elements of the plot even begin. You’ll need to present it with the Faded Bride Doll.

Offering 1: Faded Bride Doll – You’ll find this offering in a house on the right side of the mountain you climb down at the beginning of the game. It is located in this house that you couldn’t enter during your first playthrough.

Jizo Statue 2 – The second Jizo statue can be found when you’re making your way to Rinko’s house during the plot. You’ll find it in this small patch of land near the northeastern part of the map. To activate the statue, you’ll need to offer it a Rusted Flask.

Rusted Flask – While making your way to Rinko’s house, take the path that leads directly north, avoiding the scarecrow field, and you’ll find Sakuko’s family shrine. The Rusted Flask is placed on an altar in this location.

Jizo Statue 3 – The next Jizo Statue can be found while making your way to the middle school in the third fog town segment. It is located at the location pictured below, near the bottom of the map. This statue wants Broken Japanese Geta Sandals as an offering.

Offering 3: Broken Japanese Geta Sandals – After examining the Jizo statue, circle your way around the broken bridge that’s near it, and you’ll find the third offering in this location.

Jizo Statue 4 – You’ll find the fourth Jizo statue when you reach Shu’s home. Do not enter the house immediately upon reaching it, and instead explore the nearby area until you find the Jizo Statue at this location. It requires a Cracked Hibachi Brazier as an offering.

Offering 4: Cracked Hibachi Brazier – This offering can be found directly next to the Shed on the right side of Shu’s house.

Jizo Statue 5 – The final Jizo statue can be found on the path you take from Shu’s house as you’re making your way back to the main village. It’ll be hidden by a house on the left side of the path and require Dad’s Old Kitchen Knife as an offering.

Offering 5: Dad’s Old Kitchen Knife – This offering is hidden right by the Jizo statue, but is quite hard to see. You’ll find it stuck to a tree in the location pictured below.

Once you have given all the Jizo statues their offerings, make your way to the Great Cedar Tree in the northwest corner of the map, and you’ll automatically be gifted the Sacred Sword.

Now that you have the Sacred Sword, make your way toward your home for Ending #3. You’ll only need to go through the process of obtaining the Sacred Sword once as in all future playthroughs you’ll be able to get the sword from any Jizo Statue after your first visit to Fog Town.

Silent Hill f – How to Obtain Agura no Hotei-Sama

After getting ending #3 with the Sacred Sword, it’s time to do a run where you don’t pick it up at all and get ending #2. To achieve this you just need to make a slight detour during your playthrough to pick up a hidden key item.

During your fourth visit to the Dark Shrine, you’ll be exploring an area called the Main Hall. The game will try to trick you into going straight to the exit because you will already have the fox mask on NG+. However, in order to get the other endings, you’ll need to explore this area again.

On the second floor of the main hall, you can find a door you couldn’t enter in the southeastern part of the area, with the exact location pictured below. This will lead to an area where you can pick up the Agura no Hotei-Sama as well as a puzzle to purify the Sacred Sword if you have it by this point.

Once you have the item simply continue the plot until the end of the game for a new ending.

Silent Hill f – How to Purify the Sacred Sword and Offer the Brooch

Now, to get the final ending of the game, you’ll need to purify the Sacred Sword. On this final playthrough, make your way to the hidden room in the Main Hall where you got the Agura no Hotei-Sama in your previous run. This time, we will actually be solving the puzzle in this room.

This puzzle involves ringing three of the five bells in the room in a specific order. In addition to that, you’ll also need to time your rings to happen directly after you hear the splashes of water in the pond.

The order you need to ring the bells is:

  1. The bell on the balcony of the temple
  2. The bell on the island by the stone
  3. The bell on the stone bridge

You’ll know you have successfully cleared the puzzle once the water in the room turns a blood red. Once it does, progress the plot until you are once again in Fog Town and head to this location on the map to purify your sword.

Once you have a purified sword, all you will have to do is offer your broach to the final Jizo statue in the game. It can be found in the area pictured below after the game directs you to return to your home.

Once you have offered the brooch, head on home for Ending #4, the true ending of the game.

Silent Hill f – How to get the UFO Ending

Like almost all prior games in the franchise, Silent Hill f has an easter egg UFO ending that can be acquired if the player takes specific steps throughout their playthrough. These steps need to be taken in order in a single playthrough, deviating from the order will lock you out of the ending. You’ll find everything you need to interact with in the following locations.

UFO Radio Broadcast 1

The first UFO radio broadcast can be found immediately after Hinako gets seperated from Shu and Rinka at the beginning of the game. You’ll find a small hidden area you can walk into at the following location on the map, it contains the radio.

Space Wars Poster 1

When the game gives you the objective to head to Rinko’s house, fight your way to the house in the eastern part of the rice field and push some wood out of the way to reach this poster.

Space Wars Poster 2

After leaving Rinko’s home, keep your eyes open as you make your way through the Ebisugaoka alleyways and you’ll find this poster on a wall by some items.

Space Wars Poster 3

After examining poster #2, backtrack slightly toward where the general store is. Here you will find the third poster hanging on a wall over a bike.

Space Wars Movie Review

After examining all three posters in order and listening to the radio broadcast, make your way to the area in the main part of town that is infested with monsters. Here you will find a UFO toy on a table as well as the movie review. The ending will begin as soon as you pick it up.
