The Stalker franchise is well known for it’s traumatizingly bad endings for your main character. The tradition continues into this sequel, as you can get one out of four endings, each traumatizing in its own way. Most of the endings will be decided during one big quest with one of the most important characters in the game, so here’s how you can get all of them and what happens in each one.
All Endings in Stalker 2 Guide
There are 4 possible endings for the game:
Ward Ending (“Brave New World”)
The government, represented by Colonel Korshunov, gains control over the Zone. This ending suggests a future where the Zone’s anomalies and artifacts are likely to be exploited for military and political purposes. It’s a more pragmatic, if potentially dangerous, outcome.
Due to the way the story ends for Skif, it’s generally probably one of the only “good” endings.
To get it, here’s what you need to do:
- In “Subtle Matter”: Choose “Life is for the living” when Scar catches you using the visiograph in Orbita Station.
- In “Dangerous Liaisons”: Choose “I’m not your enemy” when caught by Korshunov.
Strelok Ending (“She Will Never Be Free”)
Strelok takes control of the Zone, maintaining its existence but implementing strict containment measures. This ending reflects Strelok’s complex relationship with the Zone, viewing it as something to be preserved but also controlled. It’s considered by some to be the “true” ending, given Strelok’s significance in the series.
Here’s how to get it:
- In “Subtle Matter”: Choose “Life is for the living” when Scar catches you using the visiograph in Orbita Station.
- In “Dangerous Liaisons”: Choose “Escape” when caught by Korshunov.
- In “The Last Wish”: Confront the Doctor in the Red Forest and choose “[Fire]”.
Scar Ending (“Today Never Ends”)
Scar enters the pod, creating a dreamlike scenario where the Zone appears in a more positive light. This ending presents a surreal, possibly idealized version of the Zone, contrasting with its usual hostile nature.
Since it’s all a fantasy, it’s widely considered a “bad” ending.
Here’s how to get it:
- In “Subtle Matter”: Choose “Eternal spring” when Scar catches you using the visiograph in Orbita Station.
- In “Dangerous Liaisons”: Choose “Escape” when caught by Korshunov.
True Skif Ending (“Project Y”)
In this ending, the protagonist Skif enters the pod alone, resulting in an expansion of the Zone. This outcome is influenced by the mysterious Doctor/Faust, hinting at hidden agendas and manipulations behind the scenes.
All in all, the “worst” ending.
Here’s how to get it:
- In “Subtle Matter”: Choose “Life is for the living” when Scar catches you using the visiograph in Orbita Station.
- In “Dangerous Liaisons”: Choose “Escape” when caught by Korshunov.
- In “The Last Wish”: Confront the Doctor in the Red Forest and choose “[Lower the gun]”.
