Indie development team Soda Den has announced that they’re hosting a giveaway for twenty copies of their 2023 released Stone Age farming and life simulation game Roots of Pacha on their Discord server this week.
About Roots of Pacha
Roots of Pacha is a farming and life simulation game that takes place during the Stone Age where you play as a young caveman who sells fish and other materials such as seeds to a village in exchange for currency and welfare points.
The gameplay is very reminiscent of other games of the genre such as ConcernedApe’s Stardew Valley and Marvelous’ Story of Seasons. The main inspiration for the game though was a book known as “The Clan of the Cave Bear”
Other activities available to the player include the ability to fish, farm crops, domesticate wild animals, explore cave regions, and even engage in romantic relationships. The game also features online multiplayer with up to four players!
The game was originally funded via a Kickstarter campaign in 2021 before a publisher known as Crytivo stepped in to help fund the project. Since its release in April 2023, the game has been delisted and relisted from Steam due to a publishing rights dispute with Crytivo.
About Discord Giveaway
On September 21, 2023, the moderators of the official Roots of Pacha Discord announced that they would be holding a contest where ten lucky winners will win two Steam keys each for their game.
To enter this giveaway, contestants must join the official Roots of Pacha Discord server and react to a message about the giveaway in their specified giveaway channel with the tada emoji.
This giveaway will be ending on September 29, 2023, and is limited to Discord users above the age of 13 and who live in an area where such giveaway contests are legal. If you are not one of the lucky two winners, Roots of Pacha is currently available to purchase and play on PC, Linux, and macOS via Steam.
