Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 offers a surprising amount of options when it comes to how to prepare your characters for battle. From the lumina you equip to how your stats are allocated, the player is given complete control over how their characters handle combat. This also allows for dedicated players to turn a specific character into a boss-destroying machine. Because if Maelle is given the correct equipment and stats, she can easily do millions of damage and instantly eliminate even the game’s super bosses. If you want to do this yourself, here is a complete guide on how to make the One-Shot Maelle Build in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
How to Make the Maelle One-Shot Build in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
The goal of this build is to turn Maelle into a one-hit killing machine that can utterly obliterate all the super bosses in the game within a single turn. To do this you will need to allocate her stats properly as well as equip her with nearly every damage and critical damage-increasing lumina in the game. Below is a list of what her stats should be as well as what you will want her to be equipped with.
Stat Allocations
Maelle’s stats are one of the most important parts of this build. Because most of her might will be handled by the weapon you have equipped, pour most of your points into the following stats.
- Vitality – 10
- Might – 0
- Agility – 99
- Defense – 99
- Luck – 62
Weapon
You’ll want to equip Maelle with the following weapon as it will allow you to begin the battle in her Virtuous Stance.

Battle Strategy

So because of her equipped Cheater and First Strike Lumina, Maelle will not only always play first in battle, but will also always get to go twice. You’ll want to start your first turn by shooting the enemy a few times in order to inflict them both with Mark and hopefully, a few burns thanks to your Burning Shot and Marking Shot lumina. Make sure you have at least one AP left though
After that you’ll want to use her Last Chance skill which will reduce her HP to 1 and complete refill her AP. This will give you a few extra damage buffs too thanks to those extra damage at low HP lumina you have equipped.
With her HP reduced, finish off your turn by using Maelle’s Stendhal skill and watch as she instantly does several MILLION damage to your opponent. There is a small luck factor here as the Roulette lumina you equipped has a chance of halving her damage, but for most battles, you will be wiping out bosses instantly!
