Metaphor: ReFantazio features a plethora of optional dungeons that you can clear for sidequests. The first of these is the Belega Corridor for the ‘A Bullish Embargo’ quest. This dungeon is a fierce gauntlet where enemies will try to detect if you have a healer or mage in your party, rampaging against your party if you do. Creating a scenario where you either go through the dungeon without any magic or find a way to defeat the enemies within a single turn. Of course, the boss of the dungeon cannot be beaten in a single turn. So if you are having trouble defeating them, here is a guide on how to defeat Guptauros in Metaphor: ReFantazio.
How to Defeat Guptauros in Metaphor: ReFantazio
Before beginning the Guptauros battle, it’s important to remember how this boss will react to your party layout. If you have either a Mage or Healer in your party, Guptauros will use his two press turns to charge up an attack before unleashing an AoE attack which your Mage/Healer is weak to: giving him another turn.

So you’ll need to either enter this battle without a healer or find a way to kill him before he kills you. Either way, this will be a very fast battle. For this guide, it is recommended that you enter the battle without a Healer/Mage and instead bring a more physical attack-focused Archetype like Seeker.
It is recommended that you bring a Brawler to this fight for the sake of its Skull Cracker attack, as it has a chance of inflicting Forget onto enemies and Guptauros is not immune to this status effect. When inflicted with forget he’ll attempt to charge up attacks, but will fail and waste his turn.
As for actually inflicting damage onto Guptauros, either inherit Blizz from the Mage Archetype onto one of your current Archetype or use some ice attack items to take advantage of his ice weakness and secure yourself some extra press turns.
Because he’s the first optional boss in the game, Guptauros won’t be pulling out anything too special against you. Just hold your ground, abuse his weaknesses, and heal if you have to and you’ll win the battle within a few turns.
