Mafia The Old Country – All Newspaper Locations

Mafia The Old Country has many, many collectibles for players to collect both during their journey and long after it ends. One of these is the Newspapers strewn throughout the world. Not only does reading these give the player a good idea about what was historically going on in the rest of the world during the events of this game, but they’re also directly related to two of the game’s achievements. Because newspapers are not marked on your map until you walk within a few meters of them, they can also be quite hard to find. If you are having trouble locating these papers, then please use this guide on every newspaper location in Mafia, the Old Country.

Mafia The Old Country – All Newspaper Locations

There are 50 different newspapers to collect in Mafia The Old Country, and they can be separated into two different categories. Those that can be found and read during the story, and those that the player can only reach during Free Roam mode. In our guide below, we shall highlight these papers in the order they can be collected in.

Chapter 1 Newspaper

Opera Season

The first newspaper in the game can be found near the end of the first chapter, after your objective changes to “Get ready for the meal”. Walk to your left and climb the stairs by the green car, and you’ll find the paper on a table.

Chapter 2 Newspapers

Firefighting Action

While heading to your destination at the beginning of the chapter, stop your horse in this location where you will find the newspaper on a bench.

Floods in Europe

When you reach the racetrack, look to the left of the door that is marked as your objective, and you’ll see this newspaper

Chapter 3 Newspapers

Chinese Relations

The first newspaper in chapter 3 can be found on a bench at the lemon farm, you can pick it up before or after you unlock the safe that’s inside of the building.

Sicily Under Water

After arriving at the quarry with Luca and Cesare, walk away from the door you’re supposed to enter and you’ll find the newspaper laying on some stone.

Amazing Inventions

Immediately after meeting Leo at Porto Almaro, walk directly down to the walkway by the water and you’ll be able to find this newspaper sitting on a crate.

Italian Explorer

After riding down to Fichera’s farm with Luca and Cesare, immediately move to your left as they speak with him, the newspaper can be found sitting on a bench.

Chapter 4 Newspaper

Russo-Japanese War

This newspaper can be found in the cave segment of Messina’s camp during the part of Chapter 4 where you need to save Gennaro.

Chapter 5 Newspaper

Wave of Anarchy

Right at the start of chapter 5 you’ll find this newspaper on a table while on your way to the Don’s office.

Races in Palermo

As soon as you finish the long drive of the chapter and arrive at Tito’s stakeout point, you’ll see this newspaper sitting on a bench.

Sicilian Paradise

While sneaking through the mansion in Chapter 5, head to the west side of the garden and you’ll find this newspaper on a bench alongside the wall to the left of the large staircase.

Chapter 6 Newspapers

Traditional Games

After arriving at the tannery at the start of the chapter, make your way up the stairs in front of your car and turn to the left, you’ll find the newspaper on a stone bench behind a building

Labor Protests

This newspaper is located inside of the Tannery itself and can be quickly picked up while you’re there for plot purposes

Wheel of Death

After arriving in San Celeste, climb up the stairs in front of you and then turn to the left to find this newspaper located on a bench.

Tunnel Completed

While following the man in the red waistcoat, you’ll end up passing this newspaper. Make sure to pick it up while you’re allowed inside of the building

Chapter 7 Newspapers

Workers Strike

After driving to Pasquale’s gas station at the beginning of the chapter, immediately turn around and you’ll find this newspaper sitting on a table.

Chapter 9 Newspapers

Running the Towers

This Newspaper can be found on an outdoor desk to the left of Lorenzetti’s office.

Chaos in Tbilisi

This newspaper is located within the factory that you must sneak into during the chapter.

Chapter 10 Newspaper

Marathon Scandal

When you arrive at the celebration with Isabelle, you’ll walk right by this newspaper as it sits on a table in your path.

Chapter 11 Newspaper

Crowds at Car Race

During the section of this chapter’s large shootout where you reunite with Leo, run into the room that the enemies spawn from and you’ll find this newspaper sitting on a crate.

Chapter 12 Newspaper

After climbing onto the scaffolding in the Opera House, you can find this newspaper on a box propped against a wall. It is quite dark in this area so it may be hard to see.

Chapter 13 Newspaper

Mafia Crackdown

After meeting up with Valerio near the beginning of the chapter, pick this newspaper up from a barrel before progressing to the stealth section.

Police Shootout

This newspaper can be found on a table during the last shootout of the chapter.

Chapter 14 Newspaper

Courtroom Drama

Near the end of the shootout at the mines, look to the right of the tower where a man was shooting you with a rifle and you’ll find this newspaper.

Free Roam Newspapers

Disaster in Messina

Upon loading into free roam mode, make your way to the house slightly north of Enzo’s apartment and you’ll find this newspaper laying on a table.

Volcano Erupts

Head west from San Celeste and there will be well by the side of the road with this newspaper laying on it.

Grand Duke Killed

This newspaper can be found on a barrel next to a house slightly south of Pasquale’s Gas Station.

Easter Celebrations

Directly east of the previous newspaper, you’ll find this one sitting on the ground between Pasquale’s Gas Station and Porto Alamaro.

The North Pole

This newspaper can be found on a table at the road slightly north of Porto Alamaro.

Outlaw Captured

Next head to the upper section of Porto Alamaro and you’ll find this newspaper laying on a bench

Earthquake

In the southeastern section of Porto Alamaro, you’ll be able to find this newspaper on a table overlooked the sea.

Heatwave

You’ll be able to pick up this newspaper on a stone to the south of Collezolfo.

San Francisco in Ruins

You’ll be able to find this newspaper on a bench by the road to the north of Collezolfo’s factory.

Racing Champion

This newspaper is located next to a house slightly west of the Fontanella fast travel point in free roam.

Art Exhibition

Fast travel to Torissi in Free Roam mode and then make your way slightly southwest to find this newspaper sitting on a table.

Joy on Saint’s Day

This next newspaper is located on a table to the east of San Celeste.

Battleship Launched

Head to Lago Efesto at the very top of the map and you’ll find this newspaper by a house slightly south of the lake.

Assassination Foiled

This next newspaper can be found on a barrel to the east of San Celeste.

A New Century

Directly south of the previous newspaper you’ll find this one sitting on a stone.

Diver Sets Record

This newspaper can be found near the top of a home to the east of Porto Alamaro

Unrest in Bulgaria

You’ll find the next newspaper lying on the ground in southern section of San Celeste

Palermitan Skaters

Directly south of the previous newspaper you’ll find this one by a house just outside of San Celeste.

Mutiny in Odessa

This newspaper is located by a house slightly to the north of Porto Alamaro

Calls for Revolt

You’ll find this newspaper in the southwestern section of Porto Alamaro

Peak Conquered

Head slightly west of Pasquale’s Gas Station and you’ll find this newspaper sitting on a bench.

A New Pope

This next newspaper is located on a bench to the north of Pasquale’s Gas Station

Mattanza Begins

Head to the northwest of San Celeste and you’ll find this newspaper hidden within a shed.

Airship Over Modena

This newspaper is located by a house to the east of the Collezolfo Sulfer Mines,

Flying Men

You’ll find this next newspaper slightly to the east of the factory in Collezolfo.

Baloonists Visit

Finally, head to the river east of Collezolfo where you’ll find this newspaper sitting in a car.
