One of the most difficult collectibles to find in Mafia The Old Country is the many, many Mystery Foxes hidden across the map. Because of their difficulty, they are the only collectible with an achievement dedicated specifically to them and any player who gets them all will unlock a special costume for bragging rights. If you are a player who wants to go for completion or simply wants to see the hilarious Mafia 1 easter egg that’s hidden behind collecting them all, here is a simple guide on where to find all of the Mystery Foxes in Mafia The Old Country.
Mafia The Old Country – All Mystery Fox Locations
There are two types of foxes hidden throughout Mafia The Old Country’s world. Those that can be collected during the story and those which can only be picked up during free roam mode. This guide will be sorted in the order players are likely to encounter these foxes.
Chapter 3 Mystery Fox
The first Mystery Fox in the game can be found during the section where you must sneak into an impound lot, more specifically, the segment where you have to search through multiple boxes. It is in the bottom left corner of this room.
Chapter 4 Mystery Fox
After exiting the cave segment of Messina’s camp in chapter 4, walk alongside the cliff edge to your right as you progress and you’ll eventually find this fox in the corner.
Chapter 5 Mystery Fox
Immediately after the cutscene where you meet and knock out Ludovici in chapter 5, backtrack into the room that the cutscene took place in and you’ll find the fox.
Chapter 6 Mystery Foxes
At the very start of the chapter, walk up the stairs that are directly in front of you once you have control of Enzo and you’ll find a fox in the corner.
The second Mystery Fox in chapter 6 can be found while you’re looking for the Printing Press safe in the Guardie Headquarters. Instead of heading to the northeast office on the second floor, head to the northwest one to find this fox.
Chapter 7 Foxes
Immediately after walking up the stairs to sneak into the building that the marquis is in, turn to the left and you’ll find this fox hidden by a tree.
Chapter 9 Fox
This fox can be found directly behind Lorenzetti’s office near the start of the chapter
When sneaking into the factory during this chapter, make your way to the outdoor area to the left and you’ll find this fox hidden away in a box
Chapter 10 Fox
As soon as the shootout begins in this chapter, run up to the second floor of the first room you’re in and grab this fox (You’ll likely have to kill the enemies first to reach it).
Chapter 12 Foxes
After exiting the sewers you can find this fox in the corner of the storage room before entering the main section of the Opera House (It can be quite difficult to see in the dark)
The second fox in chapter 12 can be found sitting in a large prop box on the first floor of the Opera House.
The third and final fox of the chapter can be found after walking down some stairs as you make your way to the Royal Box.
Chapter 13 Fox
When Tino and Cesare are interrogating the priest at the end of the chapter, walk down the stairs parallel to the gate and you’ll spot this fox.
Free Roam Foxes
Moving on to the foxes that you can only get in Free Roam mode, start by making your way northeast of the vineyard to collect this one
Next, travel east of the vineyard where you will find this fox hidden next to a house.
This fox can be found inside of a small church slightly north of the vineyard
Your next fox will be by a house located to the west of the vineyard.
This next fox is hiding behind a house located to the east of San Celeste
For your next fox, travel to the area east of San Celeste and climb up the stairs of a home here to find it.
Directly south of the previous fox, you’ll fix this one wedged between a fence and a barrel.
Once again, walk south from the previous fox slightly and you’ll find this fox by the other house in the area.
This fox is located on a bench slightly to the east of San Celeste.
You’ll find this next fox hiding by a house slightly to the south of San Celeste.
Next travel to the southeastern parts of San Celeste to pick up this fox.
This next fox is placed in a wheel-barrel to the northeast of San Celeste.
Following the previous fox’s placement, make your way to the northwest of San Celeste to find this next fox.
Directly south of the previous fox you’ll find this one by a house as well.
This next fox can be found in the southwestern part of San Celeste.
Then head south slightly as the next fox is nearby.
Head to the northeast of Pasquale’s Store to find this fox sitting on a bench.
You’ll find the next fox in an area between two bridges to the west of the Torissi fast travel point.
This next fox is slightly southwest of the Torissi fast travel point.
Next, walk directly east from the previous fox and you’ll find the next one sitting by a house.
This fox can be found in an abandoned home to the southeast of the Torissi fast travel point.
Travel to the eastern section of Porto Alamaro and climb up a building to find this next fox.
Next you’ll find a fox by a boat near the salt mines to the east of Porto Alamaro
Directly east of the previous fox you’ll find this one sitting by a building on the edge of the salt mine.
This next fox is located in a box in the western part of Porto Alamaro
To the southwest of Porto Alamaro is a lighthouse that you can only access by foot, here you will find the next fox.
This fox can be found on top of a house slightly north of Pasquale’s Gas Station.
Next head to a house slightly west of Pasquale’s Gas Station and you’ll see this fox overlooking the sea.
Directly north of Pasquale’s Gas Station you’ll find this fox hidden behind a house.
This fox is hidden behind a building north of the Collezolfo factory.
You’ll find this fox in a shed to the east of the Collezolfo Sulfur Mine.
To the west of the Fontanella fast travel point you will be able to spot this fox hiding by a tent.
This next fox is actually directly on the Fontanella fast travel point.
Next, head slightly south of the Fontanella fast travel point where you’ll find this fox hiding by a house.
Directly south of the previous fox you’ll find a path through the woods that will lead you to this next fox.
You’ll be able to find this next fox in some Byzantine ruins to the west of San Celeste.
Finally, you can buy a fox from Pasquale’s store.
