Like a Dragon Gaiden’s Stroll ‘n Patrol quests are a great source for easy money and Akame points. Most of these quests simply require you to fight a few enemies or bring a specific item to an NPC. Some of them are a bit more complex though. Such as the quests that require you to explore the city of Sotenbori and photograph a landmark. Easily the strangest of these missions is “Photograph the Boat Guy”. In this quest you’re tasked with taking a picture of a man in the Sotenbori River. This boat doesn’t appear at all times though. If you can’t find him here is the Boat Guy location in Like a Dragon Gaiden.
Boat Guy Location in Like a Dragon Gaiden
You can find the Boat Guy in Like a Dragon Gaiden on the front of a tourist boat that periodically passes by on the Sotenbori River.
This boat only appears in the daytime, so don’t bother waiting for it at night. The boat passes by quickly, so it’s best to have your camera already out and ready by the time it’s close.
To take photos in Like a Dragon Gaiden, press the up button on your D-Pad. If a building or other quest objective needs to be photographed, an X button prompt will appear on the screen to indicate what you need to take a photo of.
Before you take the photo of the Boat Guy to the quest giver, you might want to wait around for the boat to pass a second time. As the man on the boat is also carrying a Gold Ball which you’ll need to complete another quest.
After taking the picture and stealing the Gold Ball with your spider gadget, return to the quest giver to receive 800 Akame Points and 35,000 yen. The yen reward may be miniscule but the Akame Points make this quest well worth the effort.
