Like all previous games in Sega’s beloved franchise, Like a Dragon Gaiden is filled to the brim with side quests that will send you all over the city of Sotenbori. One type of quest in particular will require you to search for a Kappa statue hidden in the city. One of the previous entries in the series, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, had you find eight of these things to take a picture of. Thankfully, Gaiden shortened this number to only a single statue. If you are having trouble finding it, here is the solution to the How Bout Them Kappas quest and the Kappa location in Like a Dragon Gaiden.
Kappa Location in Like a Dragon Gaiden
The Kappa statue can be found on the Sotenbori Footpath on the south side of the Sotenbori River. When you walk past it. If you are having trouble finding it, here is an image with the exact location.

Upon walking past it, you’ll see a button prompt for Kiryu to stare at it. This actually makes the quest easier than others like it as you won’t have to take a picture of the landmark.
This quest will then specifically reference the much harder Kappa quest from Yakuza: Like a Dragon, bringing up the character Kodama who had players search for Kappa around the city of Ijincho.
After you’ve found the Kappa location in Like a Dragon Gaiden, return to the quest giver for your reward. Completing this simple quest will net you 1,000 Akame Points and 40,000 yen. While the yen reward is pretty minuscule, the Akame Points make doing this simple fetch quest worthwhile.
Akame Points can be used to upgrade your stats such as HP, learn new heat actions for defeating foes, and can be used to buy cheat items in her personal shop. So doing quests like this that give out large amounts of Akame points should be a priority.
