On February 21, 2023, Epic Game’s immensely popular Battle Royale game Fortnite began its newest Festival Pass starring the world-famous singer Lady Gaga. This pass added several Lady Gaga tracks to the Fortnite Festival mode of the game as well as two Lady Gaga skins that can be worn in any game mode.
While most gamers began to grind experience on the Lady Gaga and Save Peely quests, an unexpected face began to download the game to experience playing as Lady Gaga; the world-famous pop singer Kesha!
On the 21st of February, Kesha tweeted “How do I get Fortnite” before following it up the next day with several tweets about her experience playing the game, highlighting that she had never played a video game in her life but was excited to try out Fortnite.
This led to a quite humorous thread of live tweets where Kesha would react in shock to the fact that Fortnite matches began with you falling from the sky before she proceeded to ask if she should build a studio in the middle of the map.
This all culminated in a tweet where Kesha said “OMG”, with an accompanying image showing that she had been shot and eliminated by a passing player.

While this was the end of Kesha’s tweets about the game, other players took to Twitter to speak about how they got to play the game with Kesha. Such as Twitter user @NyneXMusix who tweeted about how they got to play with Kesha in a Team Rumble match.

While it is currently unknown if Kesha will ever play Fortnite again, many fans of the pop star have been expressing gratitude on social media over being able to play the game with their idol even just one time. Many of them even got her to send friends requests, others still were happy to be killed by Kesha in game!

Fortnite is currently available to play on Android, IOS, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series S|X, and PC via the Epic Games Store.
