Gloomy Eyes is a lovely, short narrative-based puzzle game that takes place across a series of chapters. In these chapters, players lead two characters, Gloomy and Nena, through a heart-warming adventure across dismal lands consumed by darkness.
If you’re looking to a complete step-by-step of how to complete each chapter of Gloomy Eyes from start to finish, the walkthrough below will outline everything you’ll need to see Nena and Gloomy’s journey through.
Chapter 1 – Gloomy

For the very first task of the game, you will need to find a way to move the coffin through the gate to create a bridge for Gloomy to set out on his adventure. As gloomy is sensitive to light and will die upon touching it, you need to use nearby objects to bypass obstacles such as this.
Head over to the pile of bones to the left side of where you spawn. Pick up one of these bones and approach the light, then press the button that appears on screen to throw the bone at the power switch, knocking the light out.

This light is only turned off temporarily, so you will need to be quick. Grab the coffin and move to drag it out of the area of light, then keep dragging until you reach the gate.

Drag the gate back to open it, and then grab the coffin and push it through the gate. Continue pushing the coffin forward, and it will fall into the gap to create a bridge.

Cross over the coffin bridge and pick up one of the bones from the pile on the other side. Continue right and walk through the tunnel entrance.

There will be light in this tunnel, so you now need to throw the bone in your hand at the power switch to turn it off. Once this is done, quickly scurry across the path and out the other side.

As you pass out this side, you will now see a gate with a green lock. You need to find the key for this lock to move forward. To do so, you will first need to follow the path that leads further up the hill. Once up here, pick up a bone from the pile and throw it at the lamp to turn the light off.

Now continue through the path leading to the wooden shed. Use a bone from the next pile to turn off the light on the shed. Now, go and grab the key from the door and make your way back down the hill. Go back to the gate at the bottom of the hill, and now use the key to remove the green lock from the gate. Lastly, pull the gate open and walk through it into the yellow glowing circle to move to the next chapter.

Chapter 2 – Ceaseless Routines

Follow the path down the hill until you come to another coffin. Pull the coffin back and drag it to the side, out of your way.

Now continue on down the path that has been cleared. Follow the path as it curves around to the right, all the way to the steps. Now, climb up the steps and grab a bone from the nearby pile.

Move towards the brick wall and throw the bone at it to break it. Now pass on through and continue following the path down the hill until you come to the ledge. Hop down the ledge, and start following the road whilst being careful to avoid the light from the street lamps.

As you approach the end of the road, pick up a brick from the pile and walk to the platform on the right. Once you are within range, throw the brick at the switch on the right to turn the street lamp off.
However, doing so will also activate the lights of the truck higher up on the hill and cause it to start rolling down the road in your direction. Before the truck gets too close, you now need to move to the left side of the billboard, now that the street lamp is out. Push the billboard to the right to topple it over and create a bridge for Gloomy to run across, and then quickly move across to avoid coming into contact with the lights from the truck. The billboard will fall down after a while, though, so be sure to cross quickly!

Continue on by following the path to the right. Once you reach the road, walk out across it and cross through the gap in the railing at the other side, onto the grass.

Continue to follow the grass path and the truck will appear, now following the road. Now you need to keep moving quickly by following the grass path to the right, staying in front of the Truck so you don’t get caught in the headlights. Once you reach the large rock, pause to hide behind it, as the truck will now overtake you.

Continue following the path to the right and you will come across an abandoned building. Go up the stairs to enter the building, and grab the piano that is next to the door. Now, drag the piano to the right to block the light from touching Gloomy as he crosses the room.

Once you have crossed past this light to the dark side of the room, turn and head down the stairs at the bottom. Now, pick up a brick from the pile, and walk around the grass path to the right. Throw the brick at the power switch to turn off the light inside the room.

Now, head back inside the building and go up the wooden stairs on the right side of the room. Once on top of the roof, grab a brick from the pile and throw it at the power switch. This will open the sliding gate on the level below.

Walk back down the wooden stairs, and head out of the right side of the building. Pass through the now newly opened door, and head down the steps to the right.

Continue following the path to the right. Pass by the other zombies, until you finally reach the yellow circle that makes the end-of-chapter checkpoint.

Chapter 3 – Nena

This chapter introduces the character of Nena, starting off in her bedroom. First, you will need to head out through the tunnel underneath her desk – this will lead you outside to the balcony. Once here, continue following it to the right, and head down the wooden stairs.
At the bottom of the stairs, there is a door that you need to escape through, blocked with a red lock. Next to this door, there is a pile of coal. Take a piece of coal from the pile, and then head back up the wooden stairs onto the balcony and back into Nena’s room via the tunnel under her desk.

Next, place the coal inside the furnace in Nena’s room, shut the furnace door, and hit the button. This will cause a ball to drop through the floor and create a new exit for Nena to sneak through.

Go ahead and jump down through this hole. Hop down the desk and you will now be able to sneak into the kitchen. However, Nena’s uncle (aka the main antagonist/villain) is lurking here, so you will need to be careful not to get caught!
Use the kitchen table as cover to stay hidden from Nena’s uncle, and sneak over to the fireplace. Pick up the firewood, and sneak back under the table and outside of the kitchen.

Now jump back on top of the desk and use it to boost yourself back up through the hole and into Nena’s bedroom. Go through the tunnel under Nena’s desk again, and head to the balcony. This time though, turn left instead of right and then use the wooden plan to fill the gap on the ladder.

Now climb up the ladder to get on the roof, and jump across the gap to the right. Next, hit the power switch to turn off the light around the zombie outside.

This will cause a distraction for Nena’s uncle and buy her some time to get the key. Now, jump back across the gap, head down the ladder, and back into Nena’s bedroom. Jump back down the hole in the floor, and head into the kitchen.
The key is located on the wall to the left, next to where Nena’s uncle had been previously ranting. Jump up on the dresser and grab the key.

At this time, Nena’s uncle will return to his spot from the other side of the room, so you will quickly need to run back the way you came and get Nena to her bedroom.

Head through the tunnel under Nena’s desk one last time, and go down the wooden steps from the balcony. Use the red key to unlock the door, and head outside into the final checkpoint to move forward.

Chapter 4 – Into The Woods
Now you will be leading Nena away from her uncle’s property. First, you need to avoid the cultist to the right by waiting until they are faced away. Next, sneak up to this cultist as they patrol and grab the battery from their back.

While the cultist is looking around, avoid their line of sight and flashlight, and run over to the power box. Place the battery in the power box.
This will open the gate, and enable you to sneak out while the cultist isn’t looking. Pass through the gate, and you will now find another cultist patrolling.

Wait for the cultist to walk to the right and shine his light in that direction. Now, while he is turned around, rush towards the roadblock, go through the little gap, and jump down the ledge.

Now, follow the grass path to the right, until you come to a hollow log. Crawl through the log and continue following the path in the same direction.
Eventually, you will come to a ledge. Jump across this ledge to the right side, and then continue following the path up the hill.

At the top of this hill, there is a bunch of vines covering the cliff. Climb up the vines to reach the top of the cliff, and then run across the ledge, passing by the group of cultists below.

Once you have reached the other side, walk towards the edge of the cliff and you will find another set of vines. Climb down them until you reach the bottom and continue heading to the right to move towards the forest entrance.

Continue moving to the right and you will encounter a toxic-looking swamp. Avoid the zombies on the edge of the swamp and hop across the ledge to cross to the other side.

Lastly, continue following the path all the way to the right, and you will eventually come across the circle of fireflies. Walk into this end-of-chapter checkpoint to progress the story.
Chapter 5 – An Awaited Encounter

This is the first level that involves both Nena and Gloomy, allowing you switch between them to solve the puzzle. First, as Nena, run and jump across the ledge. There will be a zombie sitting in the dark, blocking Nena from progressing.
Now, switch to Gloomy, and pick up a brick from the pile. Throw the brick at the power switch to turn the light off on Gloomy’s side, and move it to Nena’s side, clearing the path for her to move forward.

Now, switch to Nena and walk past the zombie to climb up the vines on the wall to reach the upper floor. Once you are on the upper floor, walk all the way to the right and climb down the lockers to the bottom level.

Now walk up to the generator and flip the switch to turn the power off. This will shut down all of the lights, as well as electrical currents running through puddles. Now you can safely switch back to Gloomy to progress forward.
First, walk around to the two dumpsters, and grab the one on the right. Now drag it back to the wooden stairs, and walk back around to the side of the dumpster to continue dragging it, this time in the downward direction.

Now, head back over to the other dumpster, and drag it to the right to free up the space to the door. Walk back around the steps and to the side with the bricks. Now, walk up to the door and push it open, then pass through.

Now walk up to the lockers sitting in the middle of the room, and drag them behind the ramp to create a ledge for Gloomy. run up the ramp and then use the lockers to make your way to the upper floor.
On this upper floor, there is a large branch that you can grab. Grab the branch and pull it all the way to the left.

This will now open up a path for Nena to go and grab a battery from the upper floor.

As Gloomy, climb back down onto the bottom floor, and grab a brick from the pile. Then, climb back onto the upper floor and follow the path forward to the left. Throw the brick at the light switch to turn it off.

Now open the stall on the left to find a blue key. Grab the key and return back to where you climbed up onto the top floor.

Drop the key here, and then walk across the ramp onto the other side, where the lockers are. Walk around to the right, and then push the lockers at the end of the row back, creating space for Gloomy to walk the rest of the way around.

Now, grab the red key and return back to the other side of this floor. Use the red key to unlock the elevator.

Now, go and grab the blue key that you dropped earlier, and climb back down the ramp to return to the bottom floor. Use this blue key to unlock the door to the left,

Now switch to Nena, and go and grab the battery from the path Gloomy opened up earlier. Climb back down the lockers to the bottom floor, and head directly down. You will now find a power box, so go ahead and place the battery inside.

Next, return to the upper floor and walk all the way around to the left side. You should come across a yellow ladder. Climb it to reach the top floor.

Once up on this top floor, you will notice another battery, but it is guarded by a Zombie. Switch back to Gloomy, and get in the elevator.

This will turn the light on and enable Nena to grab the battery from the zombie. Switch back to Nena and grab the battery, then head back down the ladder.
Head down the lockers to the bottom floor, and place the second battery in the same power box as you placed the first.

This will now turn on a light, allowing Nena to bypass the zombie blocking the exit. Leave past the zombie, and continue following the path all the way down, hopping across the ledges until you reach the firefly circle checkpoint.

Now switch back to Gloomy, and leave the elevator. Turn left and leave the school, also following the path all the way down until you reach his side of the firefly checkpoint.

Ensure both Nena and Gloomy have stepped into their circles. You will now progress forward to the next chapter, following a brief cutscene of the two characters meeting.

Chapter 6 – The Hidden Refuge

You will now take control of Nena and explore Gloomy’s forest home in search of him. To begin, follow the path forward and to the left, and then down as it twists. Continue moving all the way left until you reach a small hill, then follow the path up this hill.

Now, continue following the path up, and turn left. You will notice a broken ladder, and need to find a way to fix it.

Walk left past the ladder, and continue heading left the entire loop around. Eventually, you will find a wooden plank sitting in the grass. Pick it up, and return back to the ladder.

Now, climb up the ladder to reach the platform. Turn to the left and climb up the vines on the wall. Now, hop across the ledge and continue left.

Walk past the next set of vines and continue left up the stairs. When you reach the top, turn left and continue hopping across the platforms.

Grab the wooden plank at the end of the platforms, and then return the way you came. Go down the stairs, and return to the vines on the wall. Now, climb up the vines, and head right. Hop across the platforms until you reach the ladder.

Now, use the wooden plank to fix the ladder, and climb up it. You will now be able to enter Gloomy’s tree house, which will trigger a cutscene before moving you forward into the next chapter.

Chapter 7 – A Perilous Venture

To begin, walk forward through the light with Nena. Walk up the hill to the pile of logs near the zombie, and pick one up. Now, move back down to Gloomy, and pass the log to him.

Now with Gloomy, throw the log at the light to change its direction, enabling Gloomy to move up the hill. Continue up the hill as Gloomy, and walk him into the shadows on the grass.

Now, switch back to Nena and walk up the hill. Grab another log from the pile and hand it to Gloomy, and then get Gloomy to knock the light back to its original place.
Now walk up to the zombie in the cage with Gloomy, and pick up the battery. Return to Nena and hand the battery to her, and then use Nena to place the battery in the power box.

Now with Nena, head down the path to the right. Sneak past the first cultist, and then head down the hill. Loop around the boxes, and wait for the cultist on the rail to become occupied with the cart. When they are busy looking at the cart, sneak past to the other side of the ledge.

Pick up the battery on the ledge. Now, turn to the power box and wait for the cart to stop in front of the cultist. Quickly hit the button on the power box to stop the cart and lock it in place.
However, this will alert the cultist on the hilltop, who will then rush over to investigate. You will need to quickly hide Nena underneath the boxes, in the shadows. This will narrowly prevent her from the flashlight, allowing you to wait while the cultist returns to the top of the hill.

Once the coast is clear, sneak back along the path that you came from. The cart will provide you with cover from the first cultist, and then you can sneak around the cultist who is patrolling the hill.
Return to where you left Gloomy, and place this second battery in the power box. Now with Nena, walk in the up direction, past the zombie in the cage. Continue to the ledge, and then turn to your right and hop across the gap.

Hit the button on the power box as Nena. This will turn the lamp on the other side off, enabling Gloomy to walk past. Switch back to Gloomy and move down past the light.

Keep following the path down the hill, and you will come across a cultist guard sitting asleep on a chair. Sneak past this guard heading to the right, go past the boxes. Pick up one of the logs from the pile, and then throw it at the green bell on the shed.

This will alert the sleeping cultist. As he gets up to investigate, he will follow the path that you just took. Sneak Gloomy up and to the left, through the log.

Now, once the cultist has moved past, quickly grab the battery from the wall. Continue sneaking past and quickly head to the left path, back up the hill before the cultist returns to their post and catches you.

Head back up to the top of the hill with Gloomy. Now, switch back to Nena and jump back across the gap to Gloomy. Take the battery from his hands, and head back from where you just came to place the battery in the power box. Now, hit the button on the power box.

This will cause the railway cart on the top level to power on, and smash through the barricade. With Nena head left, further down the hill, and follow the twisting path all the way down until you reach the firefly checkpoint circle.
Now, switch to Gloomy, and have him walk back past the zombie in the cage. By moving the railway cart, Nena has now opened up a gap for him to cross the tracks and make it to the side where the power box is located. Once you get Gloomy here, have him follow the same path down as Nena until they are both in the firefly checkpoint.

Chapter 8 – Rising Threats

As Gloomy, walk up the path. Now turn to the right and loop around the path underneath the crates, and continue walking left. Walk past the power box, and then push the crate to the left, off the ledge.

Now, switch to Nena and follow the path up. Instead of taking the route that Gloomy did, take a direct left across the grass. Now that Gloomy has moved the crate for her, there is room for Nena to jump back up onto the ledge. Once you ae on the ledge, run to the right and hit the button on the power box.

Now, one by one lead both Gloomy and Nena through the cave, then sneak past the cultist with the flashlight.

You can use the crates as cover to hide along the way, then continue sneaking down and hide behind the rocks.

With Nena, walk through into the first light. Then, switch to Gloomy and climb up the ledge near the glowing mushrooms. Sneak around past the light, and grab a log from one of the trucks as it passes by.

Throw the log at the light on the left side. This will change it to point to the zombie cage in the middle. Now, switch to Nena and move her through the middle light, but stop before reaching the cage on the left. Finally, switch back to Gloomy, and pick up another log from the passing trucks, then hit the light on the left again to make it move back. This frees up the path for Nena to continue moving through.

Now, hit the power switch with Nena. This will cause a railway cart to move down the tracks, and alert a nearby cultist who will now begin looking around.
With the cultist now distracted, have Gloomy help Nena back past the cages by hitting the lights with logs to change their direction.
Now, move Nena up the ledge to join Gloomy. Make sure you stay hidden behind the panel to avoid the cultist who is now looking around. As he passes, sneak to the left as Gloomy.

Continue going all the way to the left as Gloomy, and you will come to another set of tracks. While making sure that you aren’t spotted by any of the cultists, pick up a log from the truck and then throw it at the sign behind the railing.

Grab another log and do the same to the other sign. Move Gloomy to the glass ledge and then switch to Nena. Gloomy has now opened up spaces for you to hide in along the rail.
Use the spaces to hide Nena as needed, and move her left along the rail until she reaches the grass. You may need to hide behind the wooden crate to the left while the nearby cultist passes through.

Once the cultist continues to walk up the hill, sneak up by following them, then hide to the left as they loop past once more. Now, continue further up the hill, and hop the gap to the other ledge.

Continue following the stairs the entire way up. There will be a guard on the top level that you will need to avoid. Sneak around him and grab the key from his belt. Now, sneak back around to the power box and have Nena hit the button.

This will trigger an alarm and cause the guard to roll down the stairs to investigate. This will also cause another cart to run down the tracks, providing a path to get to the firefly checkpoint.
As Nena, use your red key to unlock the gate on this top floor, now that the guard is gone. Now, go all the way back down the stairs. Return to the ledge and wait for the patrolling cultist to move down the hill, and then follow his route.

Sneak past all of the other guards until you return to the rail with the moving log carts, where Gloomy previously broke spaces for Nena to hide in. Now, the guard from on top of the stairs will be patrolling this ledge.

As one of the carts moves across the tracks, use it as cover from the guard and have Nena sneak past. Now, hop back down the ledge to the bottom strip of grass.
With Nena, follow the path to the right, all the way to the bottom until you come across the firefly checkpoint circle. Have her step into it, now switch to Gloomy.

With Gloomy, follow the exact same path down to the firefly circle. Join Nena, and you will now progress to the next chapter.

Chapter 9 – The Sunken Light

Gloomy and Nena have now reached a beach, and need to find a way out. Luckily, at the bottom of the beach path, there is a design plan for an old carnival boat ride. Gloomy and Nena must now work together to retrieve all of the necessary parts to build the boat.
Start with Gloomy. Walk all the way down the beach and then turn right. You will find a swan-shaped head that is needed for the boat. Pick it up as Gloomy, and then walk all the way left. Find the boat that you are crafting, then place the swan head onto the structure.

Now, follow the path up again, and then turn left. Go up the stairs onto the balcony.

Pick up a wooden plank from the pile, and throw it at the generator. This will change which doors are open. Now, walk into the door that was opened up.

You will find a gear inside. Pick the gear up with Gloomy and walk all the way back down the beach to add it to the boat.

Next, run all the way to the right along the beach, until your reach the room with the power box inside. You can leave Gloomy here for now, and switch to Nena. Have Nena move down to Gloomy, and then continue progressing past him in the right direction.
Have Nena take the boardwalk, and move all the way across to the power box.

Switch to Gloomy, and have him follow the sand the entire way around. Now move him under the boardwalk. Switch to Nena, and have her push the power box. This temporarily fizzles out the lights as it changes their position, so as soon as she pushes it, have Gloomy run all the way to the left underneath the boardwalk.

Here, you will find a pedal that is needed to craft the boat. Pick it up, and begin to walk to the right until you come to the light. Now pause and switch back to Nena. As Nena, hit the power button to move the lights again, and then quickly switch back to Gloomy and move through at the same time the lights are moving to avoid them.

With Gloomy, take the pedal and go and place it on the boat. Now, switch back to Nena, and climb up the wooden crates to the right of the power box to reach the next ledge. Go up the stairs, and climb further up the next ledges at the top.

Now, when you reach the top platform, jump across the gap to the left and follow the trail all the way up.

Get in the first elevator that you see on this side. This will drop you down one level.

Now, switch to Gloomy, and walk up the hill, past the ladder, and all the way to the right. Have him step into the elevator with Nena, and then switch to Nena and step out of the elevator.

Have Nena run to the left and go up the ladder. Now, run all the way to the right and keep going up the path until you reach the top, where the other elevator now is. Step into the elevator to bring Nena back down, and raise Gloomy to the next level.

Have Gloomy exit the elevator, and then move to the steering wheel on the right. Pick the wheel up and get back in the elevator to return to the bottom level. Now, go and place the steering wheel on the boat.

Next, return to the ladder as Gloomy, and then switch to Nena. Climb the ladder with Nena, and then step into the elevator to the right to bring it down to Gloomy’s level. Step into the elevator with Gloomy, and then climb back up the ladder as Nena.

Follow the path around with Nena to the next elevator, then step in it to bring Gloomy to the next upper level. Now, switch back to Gloomy, and continue following the path to the top of the tower. Have Gloomy wait by the top level elevator, and switch back to Nena.

Have Nena climb all the way down to the bottom of the beach, then take the right path until you come to the door underneath the lighthouse. Enter the room, and press the power box. This will cause the lights up top to rotate, enabling Gloomy to sneak between them.

Switch to Gloomy, and sneak between the lights until your reach the end of the balcony with the seat. Pick up the seat, and stay here for cover.

Now, switch back to Nena and hit the power box again to rotate the way that the lights move. Switch back to Gloomy and time it right to sneak back left between the light beams. Walk all the way down the path until you reach the elevator, then take the elevator down to the bottom floor.

Exit the elevator, and use Gloomy to take the seat and place it in the boat. Now, the boat will be complete, so switch to Nena and have her join Gloomy. A short cutscene will now play, and you will progress to the next chapter.

Chapter 10 – Shimmers of Hope

Start with Nena and follow the path up the hill, then turn right and jump across the gap. Run past the firefly cage and up the steps to enter the carousel, and then take the ladder to the upper level.

Cross through to the other side, and continue right. Now, enter the carnival ride to drop it down to the ground level.

Switch to Gloomy and have him move up the hill. Have him move into the carnival ride with Nena, and continue through to the left side. Continue left, and grab the blue key from the zombie, then move up and loop back around to the right through the carousel.

Now, switch back to Nena and exit the carnival ride to the right. Jump back across the ledge, and then use either one of the children to open the caged fireflies with the blue key.

The fireflies will now light up the carnival, enabling Nena and Gloomy to progress further. From here, switch back to Nena and climb back up the ladder to the second level of the carousel.
Switch to Gloomy, and move him across the left of the carousel until he comes to the light. Switch back to Nena and hit the power box
This will turn off the light, and enable you to swap back to Gloomy and quickly pass through. Return to the zombie that you stole the blue key from, and pick up a brick from the pile in this location.

Head up to the light again, and then swap to Nena to hit the power box and allow Gloomy to sneak even further to the left.
Exit below, and you should come to a lamp. Throw the brick at the platform near this lamp to knock it into place.

Now, return to the right, get Nena to turn off the light for Gloomy, and keep passing all the way through to the front of the carousel. Continue in the same direction across the carousel, sneaking past the lights until you come to some stairs on your right side.

Grab the battery from the sleeping Zombie, and then swap to Nena to grab the battery from Gloomy. Now, return to the upper carousel level as Nena.
As Gloomy, exit onto the grass, and continue moving left until you find the lever. Grab and drag the lever with Gloomy, and this will rotate the carousel to open up new pathways for Nena on the top level.

Use Gloomy to open up the middle path for Nena on the top level. Now, swap back to Nena and exit out through this middle pathway. Hop across the ledges heading in the left direction.

Hop down into the bumper cars zone and place the battery into the power box. Now, hit the button, and you will activate the Ferris wheel. This turns on a bright lock, which will hit the zombie on the left path of the upper carousel level, finally enabling Nena to pass through.

Return back the way you came as Nena, and now take the left path, using Gloomy to adjust the carousel and open it up as needed.
Once Nena is able to take this path, have her stand in the power box in the middle carousel upper level, and hit the button to help Gloomy pass through all of the carousel floor lights, heading the entire way left.
Once you reach the spot with the light, where you last threw the Brick with Gloomy, switch to Nena again. Head all the way down the left upper carousel path until you come to the power box. Hit the button to turn off the light below, then Switch to Gloomy and move to the right, past the light.

Move Nena down to the bottom of the stairs, and then use Gloomy to move the snack cart out of her way. Move left with gloomy and follow the grass trail to the Ferris wheel. Now, move Nena across the ledges to reach the same destination.

Have Gloomy step into the Ferris wheel pod. Now switch to Nena and hit the button to rotate the Ferris Wheel. Rotate it again and then switch to Gloomy once he is at the top level of the wheel.
Exit the pod and walk over to the rail, then push the cart to the left to send it crashing down below.

Swap back to Nena and head to the cart that Gloomy just pushed off, then pick up the lantern. Now, head over to the left side of the Ferris wheel. Pick up a firefly from here, and then use it on the Ferris wheel power button.

Hit the button, and the Ferris wheel pods should now move on their own, pause at the bottom, and continue to the top. Nena can now use this as her way to hitch a ride to the top and join Gloomy.
When the pod stops, use a firefly from the cart that is resting on the tracks. When the pod pauses on the way up, grab a firefly from the cart sitting on the tracks. Once you reach the top, jump off and then use the firefly to unlock the door where Gloomy is waiting.
Now, move both Gloomy and Nena through the door into the firefly checkpoint circle. After a brief cutscene, you will now move into the next chapter.

Chapter 11 – Chilled To The Bone

Have Gloomy pull the gates open, and then walk both children into the haunted house. With Nena, move up past the first zombie. Now turn left to reach the balcony, where you will find a power box. Hit the button on the power box to drop the elevators.

Now switch back to Gloomy and go out the first door on the left. Step into the elevator, and then switch back to Nena and hit the power box again to move Gloomy to the upper level.

As Gloomy, walk across the left side and step into the second elevator. Now, swap to Nena and hit the power button again to bring Gloomy back down to her level.

Leave and enter the main hallway as Gloomy, then head into the upper corridor. Follow the path right, and head past the zombie and out the door.

Grab a brick from this pile outside, and then return to the other balcony with the power box where Nena is waiting.
Get back in the elevator, and then use the power box to boost Gloomy back to the upper floor. Exit the elevator out the left, and then throw the brick at the generator to kill the power.

Now grab the bridge and drag it across the rails to move it down. Cross to the platform on the right.

Switch back to Nena and exit the balcony into the hallway. Continue moving through the right hallway path and into the corridor.

Go all the way down the stairs until you come to the two power boxes. The one on the left has a lever, whilst the one on the right has a button. Hit the button on the right box to rotate the tracks above, helping Gloomy to continue dragging the bridge across the top level.

Continue moving the tracks for Gloomy until he is able to bring the bridge all the way to the right side.

Now walk to the other side and have Gloomy continue to drag the bridge down as far as it can go while laying horizontally.
Lastly, switch to Nena and have her hit the power box on the left with the lever. This will drop the bridge into place, enabling Nena to now grab the battery that was stranded on the platform near the zombie on the other floor.
Switch back to Nena and head back to the main hallway. Now, sneak past the zombie in the chair and run over to grab the battery.

Go back to the main hallway, and then enter the corridor with the hands coming through the mirror. Place the battery in the power box. This will now activate the elevator located further down the steps in this room.

Place Nena in the elevator and use it to boost her up to Gloomy. Exit the elevator below and then turn and hop the ledge on the right. Climb up on the table and grab the lantern, then hop back across the ledge.

Use the elevator to return both Nena and Gloomy to the bottom floor. Now return to the main hallway and sneak past the zombie in the chair, heading right. Use the firefly lantern to unlock the door in this location.

Exit through this door and then lead both Nena and Gloomy into the firefly circle checkpoint to advance to Chapter 12.

As you do so, a longer cutscene will play out with Nena and Gloomy running into Nena’s uncle. He will take Nena away and place her in a cage, which makes Gloomy furious.

Chapter 12 – The Salvaged Sanctum

This is the first part of the game that plays a little differently to the rest. As this boss fight kicks off, you will need to have Gloomy avoid the cultists who try to grab him by running around, and kick them out of the ring when he gets the opportunity to do so.
In addition to this, crates will occasionally drop into the ring. Gloomy is able to kick these crates too. Aim up to kick the crates at Nena’s uncle, interrupting his piano theme.
Continue to do this until you reach the next checkpoint. Nena’s uncle will now throw missile attacks into the mix, which you will need to avoid on top of everything else.

The next stage of the boss fight involves double missile launches from Nena’s uncle. Finally, once you beat this checkpoint, he will pull out a deadly laser cannon.

Now you will need to avoid it by running around, though Gloomy will eventually fall to the laser. There is nothing that you can do about this. Following this, a cutscene from the Gravekeeper’s perspective will play out. Following this, the story will automatically progress forward into the next chapter.

Chapter 13 – Fading Hope

Follow the path right as Nena, and continue following it as it leads you around the mountain. As you continue, the chilly winds will harm Nena. Because of this, you will need to hide in the little gaps along the cliff and move again once each cold gust of wind has passed.
Climb the cliff until you reach a broken bridge. Turn up and follow the path, continuing to hide in the gap from the wind as needed along the way.

Hop the ledge to land on the right side, and then follow the path down. Climb the cliff, hop up the ledges, and continue following the path to the right.

Continue following the path up the mountain until you reach Gloomy’s grave at the very top, marked with his skateboard. A cutscene will play, and then you will gain control over Gloomy in addition to Nena once again.

Continue to lead them both down the path to the right from Gloomy’s grave. Once you reach the icy clearing, grab the nearest ice rock with Gloomy and push it to the right to make space. Now, grab the rock from inside the shelter and return to the middle of the clearing. Throw the rock at the solid ice wall to cause a crack.

Now, move the second icy rock back from the cliff by pushing or pulling it to the right. Swap to Nena and climb up this cliff to grab the second rock, then return and give it to Gloomy to throw against the ice wall.

Now as Nena, climb up the cliff on the right side of the clearing. You may need to shift the ice rocks back around as Gloomy to make room for her. Grab the last rock and hand it to Gloomy to finally shatter the ice wall.

Move through the ice wall with both of the children. As Gloomy, enter the cave and follow the path down. Find the big rock and push it out to the left to create a path for Nena.
Now, swap to Nena and drop down to the ledge below the cave entrance. Climb the cliff around to the right and all the way up onto the other side.

Hop the last ledge on the right with Nena, and this will cause the rest of Gloomy’s path to fall down, allowing him to cross. Lastly, walk both characters into the firefly checkpoint circle to move on to the final chapter.

Chapter 14 – The Last Glimmer

As Nena, sneak up behind the guard and grab the red key from him. Now sneak back down the hill and use it to unlock the firefly cage with the red lock.

Gloomy will now enter his enraged form to protect Nena from her uncle. The game will now switch to another boss fight against Nena’s uncle.
The majority of gameplay for this is similar to that of Chapter 12 – you need to avoid the various claw strikes, lasers, and cultist nets that will be thrown at you as you move around. On top of this, you will also need to free all fireflies from the cages.

To free the fireflies, you can use Gloomy’s attacks to break the cages. However, once you break the first cages, Nena’s uncle will bring out the deadly laser again. It will now swap back to Nena’s perspective.
Sneak further up the hill and past the guard. Now, turn to the ledge and hop across onto the other side. Scale down this cliff and land on the wooden ramp below.

Run left across the ramp and onto the ice, hop across the ledge, and run down the hill. You will now come to two more cages of fireflies – one with a golden lock, and the other with a green lock.
Sneak around the guard and grab the golden key. Now sneak back around to the cage with the golden lock and use this key to release the fireflies.

Next, sneak past the guard and head up the slope to find the green key attached to the wall. Snag it and sneak back around to the green cage whilst avoiding the guards, and then use the key to unlock it.

Nena’s uncle will now unleash the wrath of his laser on Gloomy. Luckily, the laser works in your favor as you can now bait out laser strikes to melt the the cages that have ice surrounding them.
Once the ice has been melted on each cage you can then break them as per usual. Breaking all cages to release the fireflies will now trigger the final cutscenes of the game. Here, you will get to witness how Gloomy and Nena end their tale, as well as hear the final conclusion from the Gravekeeper.
