Every member of the Vandahl Trading Company in Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is a very unique character who the player will be demanding to see more of. While the group’s leader, Talimun, is a non-recruitable guest character, each of his allies will be willing to join your party as long as you have enough renown and are willing to do a side quest or two. One of these optional units is Ludia, the daughter of a general who seems a bit out of place in the company. If you’re curious about how to recruit her so you can learn more, here is a quick guide on how to recruit Ludia in Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave.

How to Recruit Ludia in Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave

Every unit’s recruitment requirements varies depending on your route in order to make sure you don’t rely on the same party for all characters. Although, all four lords will have to wait until near the end of their routes before they’ll be able to recruit Ludia into their clan.

RouteSupport RequirementRenown RequirementSpecial Requirement

Leda37Clear the “Ludia’s Request” side quest
Theodora37Clear the “Ludia’s Request” side quest
Dietrich39Clear the “Ludia’s Request” side quest

You’ll need to raise Ludia’s support level between her and your lord to level three before she’ll even consider joining your party. To do this make sure you invite her to feasts, take her to the theater, and give her gifts at every opportunity. Ludia’s favorite gifts are Aromatic Shosh, Eastern Love Story, and Everyday Scenes so if you’ve got any of those give them to her.

Now for the craziest part of recruiting Ludia: her side quest. When trying to recruit her, Ludia will spill the beans about exactly why she is working for the Vandahl Trading Company and ask you to deliver some information to Callianeira Port to prove that she can trust you.

Agree to her request and travel to Callianeira Port on the eastern side of the continent. There isn’t much to this quest outside of the dialogue but it does immediately make Ludia an interesting character. Return to Ludia after completing the quest and she’ll join your party immediately.

As a unit, Ludia as a pretty good unique skill which grants her +3 attack speed during the player’s turn. Not the best skill in the world but a decent one for a front-line fighter.
