Each area in Fate/Samurai Remnant is filled with many side activities called Local Trials. These trials allow the player to earn materials for upgrading their Mantles or gain skill gems that you can use to upgrade your stats. The tasks in these trials range from petting every animal in the area to finding priceless items on the ground. One of these quests is to find and pray at five different old shrine locations in the rural area of Torikoe Shrine. Because Torikoe Shrine is one of the few areas of the game to have every type of collectible, many players may get lost or sidetracked while finding these shrines. So, here are the Torikoe Shrine Local Trials Old Shrine and Dousojin locations in Fate/Samurai Remnant.

Torikoe Shrine Local Trials Old Shrine Locations in Fate/Samurai Remnant
There are five Local Trials Old Shrine locations spread throughout the rural area of Torikoe Shinre in Fate/Samurai Remnant. The shrines are small and aren’t marked on your map. So you will be required to search every nook and cranny of the area to find them.
The first Torikoe Old Shrine location can be found at a turn south of the area’s entrance in Chiniju Forest. There is a pettable animal marked on your map near this Shrine so it should be easy to find.
From the first Old Shrine walk directly south until you reach a fork in the road. At this junction take two rights and you’ll find the second Old Shrine.
For the third Old Shrine location walk directly south of the second Shrine. This third Old Shrine is so close to the second that it may be easy to overlook it.
Then for the fourth Old Shrine location walk to the east until you reach the small path in between the two wide open spaces where enemies can spawn. You’ll find the Old Shrine tucked between some trees.
Finally, walk up the stairs in the eastern part of the map. Then take a right to a small outgrove full of statues for praying. You’ll find the final Old Shrine location here.
Upon finding the final Torikoe Shrine Local Trials Old Shrine in Fate/Samurai Remnant, you will be rewarded with a steel mallet which can be used to upgrade Iori’s various Mountings starting from the second chapter of the game. An adequate reward for a quest as time-consuming as this.
Torikoe Shrine Local Trials Dousojin Locations in Fate/Samurai Remnant
As opposed to most regions in Fate/Samurai Remnant, Torikoe Shrine also has a different type of shrines, called Dousojin, which you will have to find to complete the Local Trials. Luckily, there are only 4 of these, so you should find them even faster than the Old Shrines.
The first Dousojin location in Torikoe Shrine is right in the middle of the map. You will likely find this one right after saving the kids that stole from Gilgamesh. You can see the exact location below.
The second Dousojin is right on the path to the exit of Torikoe Shrine. It is almost impossible to miss, since there is no other way to advance into the region without passing by it.
The third one is to the southwest of the first two. The map helps a lot here since it shows the outline where the Dousojin is standing. You’ve probably already found it while praying to the two Old Shrines next to it.
The last Dousojin is on the eastern side of the map, right next to the temple at the top of the hill. You also found an Old Shrine here, so make sure you don’t miss this collectible as well.
