Digimon Story: Time Stranger features an almost infinite amount of ways to gain EXP, money, and new Digimon. Perhaps the most fun of these methods comes in the form of the game’s Outer Dungeons, hidden rooms throughout the game which present the player with unique challenges to overcome in exchange for rewards. Because the Digimon that players will earn from these dungeons are almost always powerful for the point of the game when you can earn them, it is highly recommended that players search for them. Of course, that can be easier said than done as some of these rooms are well hidden. If you are a player searching for them then please read along with this guide showcasing the location of every Outer Dungeon in Digimon Story: Time Stranger.

Digimon Time Stranger – All Outer Dungeon Locations
Outer Dungeons will not spawn until you have visited the Digital World for the first time. Once there you will begin to see them in the various locations and towns you visit throughout your journey.
This guide will highlight the Outer Dungeons in the order upon which you visit areas, which oddly does not match the actual numbering of the Dungeons as some of the earlier numbered ones do not appear until later areas of the game.
Once you have found an Outer Dungeon you can play it as any time from the Theater.
Protect the Giant Digimeat 2
One of the first Outer Dungeons in the game is located in the Odd Underground Passage you go through on your way to to the Digital World (This area has no map but is incredibly small.
Fight the Ultimate Digimon 3
This Outer Dungeon can be found hidden behind a box you can destroy in Central Town: Downtown. Beating all of the enemies here will gain you a CatchMamemon as a reward.
Fight the Ultimate Digimon 1
As soon as you enter the Central Town Sewers, turn to your left and attack some trash to reveal the location of this Outer Dungeon.
Speed is Victory 2
You’ll find this Outer Dungeon right at the entrance of Factorial Town, directly to the left of Locomon. Winning this race will earn you Witchmon as a reward.
Time Attack Boss Battle 2
This Outer Dungeon can be reached by swimming into a small cave in the first area in Abyss Beach, the exact location of it is pictured below. Beating this challenge will let you add Ikkakumon to your party.
Fight the Ultimate Digimon 2
You’ll find this Outer Dungeon entrance near the end of the Gear Forest: Shaded Woods. In order to reach it you’ll need to go through a series of grapple points to reach the location pictured below.
Clearing this challenge will grant you an Andromon to add to your party.
Protect the Giant Digimeat 1
Oddly enough you’ll find this significantly easier version of protecting the Digimeat much later than the other one. You’ll find the portal to this Outer Dungeon on the left side of the Gear Forest Village. Clearing the challenge will earn you Wizardmon as a reward.
Time Attack Boss Battle 4
This Outer Dungeon can be found on the platform in the right half of Gear Forest: Shade Tree Pier. This Outer Dungeon will give Mystery Device (Blue) as a reward.
Survive Until the End 1
You’ll find this Outer Dungeon upon returning to the real world. It is located in the top left corner of Shinjuku: A Certain Back Alley. Beating this challenge will add Raremon to your party.
Survive Until the End 2
This Outer Dungeon is located on the southern edge of Marunonaka Line: Shinjuku Station. Beating this challenge will force a Nanimon into your party whether you like it or not.
Speed is Victory 3
In the Present Day version of Abyss Beach’s first area there is a ladder on the left half of the map. Climb it and have your Digimon attack the rock here to find this Outer Dungeon. Win the race and you’ll get Wingdramon as a reward.
Survive to the End 3
When fighting your way through the Abyss Sanctuary dungeon, make your way to the area all the way to the right to find this Outer Dungeon. Completing it will earn you a free Whamon.
Time Attack Boss Battle 3
During your next visit to the real world, make your way to where your home base was at the beginning of the game and attack some trash to reveal the location of this Outer Dungeon. Clearing it will grant Lalamon as a reward.
Time Attack Boss Battle 1
Next make your way to Akihabara: A Certain Back Alley, where you will find the last and yet somehow first Time Attack Boss Battle in this location.
Speed is Victory 4
This Outer Dungeon isn’t hidden at all as the Paradise Collesium is a very small area and it’s located by some tables in it.
Speed is Victory 1
After winning through the arena tournament, head into the amusement park section of Factorial Town and you’ll find the Outer Dungeon in this location.
Protect the Giant Digimeat 3
This Outer Dungeon is located in the top-right corner of the Dark Castle. In order to reach it you’ll need to select the top dialogue option with Geckomon the first time you teleport and the top one again the second time you teleport.
Survive to the End 4
Near the end of Flame Cosmic: Yellowflame Area there will be a treasure chest with some rocks you can attack behind it. Destroy them and you’ll find the entrance to this Outer Dungeon.
Fight the Ultimate Digimon 4
After going down the second slide in Chill Cosmic: Crescent Moon Area, turn to your left and there will be an elevator that will take you up to a platform that has this Outer Dungeon entrance on it.
Protect the Giant Digimeat 4
The final Outer Dungeon portal in the game can be found in the Chill Cosmic: Throne Room. Just walk behind the throne and you’ll find it.
