Demon Tides has a shockingly deep narrative for a 3D platformer as it deals with the relationships between each member of Beebz’s family and how that effects their actions. While the game doesn’t have many cutscenes, there are three optional memories you can locate and view throughout the world. Locating these memories will not only earn players the “Historian” achievement, but it will also grant you several cutscenes which serve to flesh out the game’s antagonist/Beebz’s father: Ragnar. If you are having any trouble at all locating these memories, please consult this guide on all of the Ragnar memory locations in Demon Tides.

Demon Tides – All Ragnar Memory Locations

There are three Ragnar Memories in the game, one for each of the major hub areas. The islands containing memories typically contain nothing but those memories and no items which contribute to 100% completion. To view a memory, you must find the colored wind on the island and interact with it, causing a cutscene to play.

Ragnar Memory 1

The first Ragnar memory can be found on an island called Wrecked Fleet in Lokitana, the game’s first major hub area. The island is located in the area pictured below, but calling it an island might be a stretch as it contains no items to collect or treasure chests. Climb to the top of the mast located in the area and interact with the wind to view this memory.

Ragnar Memory 2

In the game’s second hub area, Shiverbeaks, there is an island called the Abandoned Home located in the dark part of the sea by Dunklewald. Like the Wrecked Fleet, there are no collectibles on this island which contribute to 100% completion but there is a memory here. Go inside the house and interact with the crib to watch the scene play out.

Ragnar Memory 3

The final Ragnar memory is located in the third hub area, Thuintir, on an island called the Memory Cladh. On this island there will be a large statue of Vindra, a representation of the wind. Interact with this statue and the game’s final memory cutscene will play. After watching this memory you’ll be granted the “Historian” trophy.
