Death Stranding 2’s gameplay loop of traveling to delivery center after delivery center as the player traverses the continent of Australia is so comforting that whenever the game throws a wrench in that formula it can come as quite a shock to the player. One example of this is the building known as The Motherhood, which the player must visit during the story. While reaching this building is quite easy, actually getting inside can be quite a puzzle for some gamers. If you are having some difficulty learning the password for this building, here is a guide on how to learn The Motherhood password in Death Stranding 2.
How to Learn The Motherhood Password in Death Stranding 2
While most buildings in Australia will let the player in to deliver packages without a second thought, there is one major exception to this rule: The Motherhood. Players will have to visit this building during Main Order 26, but they will be barred from entry upon arriving unless they know the password.
Note: Make sure to have the Old BB Pod equipped to Sam’s back before trying to enter the password, as you will be unable to even reach the password screen if the cargo is stored in a vehicle.
This password will be different for every player who gets to this part of the game, so there is no easy solution to give. Instead, this guide will advise you on how to learn the password in your own playthrough of the game.
While there are no clues around the building itself about what the password is, the description of the mission will advise players to consult their Corpus journal before taking on the delivery as their only hint about the password.
Standing outside of the building just staring at the password box for several minutes will also eventually trigger dialogue from Dollman where he will attempt to remind players to check the Corpus.
If the player were to look inside of the Corpus journal entry about The Motherhood (which can be found under the facilities category) they’ll get more than just an explanation about what this building and its role in the plot is.
Scroll to the end of the entry and you’ll see that the code to enter The Motherhood is in fact your birthday, which the player had to tell the game way back during the prologue. Once you know the code, just enter it into the door and you will be able to continue on with the plot of Death Stranding 2.
