Does anyone like being limited while gaming? Why can Valve just decide for us how many hours a day we can play? What if you want to play early in the morning, rather than after getting back home from work or school? Luckily, there’s a very easy solution to get past the time gating ways of Valve and right into the game, no matter the region you’re actually from.
How to Change Your Region in Deadlock

You can quickly change your region in Deadlock from the main menu. Here’s how to do it:
- Press F7 on your keyboard to open the console.
- Type in “citadel_region_override” and then a region number.
- Press Enter.
This will immediately change the region to your desired one.
Here’s what numbers represent each region of the world: 0 (North America), 1 (Europe), 2 (Asia), 3 (South America), and 5 (Oceania).
So, to change to NA, for example, just type “citadel_region_override 0” in the console, press Enter, and you’ll start playing in that region.
How to Automatically Start in the Region You Want

If Valve keeps sending you to the wrong region or you just prefer playing with people from Oceania, you can set up Steam to automatically start the game in the region you prefer:
- In the Steam Library, right click Deadlock and open Properties.
- In the Launch Options box, type “+citadel_region_override”, space, and then the region number you want to use.
Now each time you open the game the console will run the command and send you to the right region when starting Deadlock!
