Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has many ways to obtain new outfits and hairstyles, but perhaps the most amusing of these is to beat up a mime and steal their clothing. Throughout the world of Clair Obscur the player will be able to find and fight seventeen of these creatures, and each time it will be quite a struggle as they must first be broken before the player can deal any real damage to them. To make things worse, many of these mimes can be a struggle to find as they hide. If you missed any of these goofy creatures throughout your playthrough, here is a guide on all Mime locations in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
If you know of any mimes that I may have to be missed or need extra help finding a specific one, you can hit me up directly on Discord in the help channel!
All Mime Locations in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
As a general rule of thumb, any time you enter a new dungeon be on the lookout for at least one collectable. Whether that be music, manor doors, or mimes. The following areas have mimes hidden in them.
Lumiere
This first mime can only be found within the prologue of the game and MUST be beaten before heading to the harbor. If you miss it you will have to do an entire extra playthrough for this collectable.
You’ll find the mime shortly after recruiting Sophie for your party, once you have control of her, walk forward in the area until you see a stage with people dancing on it. To the right of the stage will be this mime. Fight it to obtain the song Lumiere.

Spring Meadows
Shortly after recruiting Lune in the Spring Meadows, the player will encounter a split in their path. Head along the path to the left to find the following grappling point, from this point, keep heading forward and you’ll encounter the second Mime in the game. Defeat it to gain the Baguette outfit for Gustave.

Flying Waters
The third mime encounter can be found at the Flying Waters. Shortly after recruiting Maelle, the player will see a large Nevron. After spotting this, look on the path to the right and you’ll see a climbable wall that is slightly obscured by coral. Climb this wall and you’ll find the mime. Defeating this Mime will unlock the short hair hairstyle option for Maelle.

Ancient Sanctuary
Mime number 4 can be found in the Ancient Sanctuary area. After the player reaches the first fast travel point of the are they will see a split in the path they can take. If you travel along the path on the right you will see a small rock opening that you can crawl beneath. Follow the path after that and you will find this Mime.

Defeating this Mime will give the player the Baguette costume for Lune.
Esquie’s Nest
The fifth mime, located in Esquie’s Nest, is one of the easiest to find in the game. After giving the guardian of the area the password and actually entering the nest, simply look to the right and you’ll see the mime at the bottom of a cliff. Simply jump down and fight him.

Defeating this mime will earn you through Baguette costume for Sciel.
Yellow Harvest
You’ll find the next mime in the Yellow Harvest, an area you’ll be able to reach after gaining the ability to ride atop Esquie when in the world map.
A little bit after the second fast travel point of the area the player will encounter a slightly open field, here there will be a small cave that the player can crawl into. If you are having trouble locating it, journal #44 is right outside of it.

Within this cave will be the mime you must fight. Defeating it will gain you the Braid hairstyle for Maelle
Visage
The mime in the Visage can be hard to find due to how foggy the area is. Start off by teleporting to the Joy Vale fast travel point and make your way down the path to the left. Look for the rocky ledge down this path and you will eventually see the mime hiding behind a tree.

Defeating this Mime will earn the player the Baguette costume for Verso.
Sirene
The Mime within the Sirene dungeon can be right before the player enters the room where you can fight the Tisseur boss. Just take a left and you’ll find the meme in a very small room where it will immediately attack you. (I accidentally killed it before taking a picture)

Defeating this Mime will earn the player the Serene hairstyle for Lune.
Monolith
This Mime is located in the Tainted Cliffs area of the Monolith. Near the end of the area you will find a grapple line to go down, at the bottom of it is a golden room with the Mime as well as two enemies called Clair and Obscur in reference to the game’s title.

This will be an incredibly difficult fight but if you succeed you will be rewarded with the Voluminous hairstyle for Maelle.
Floating Manor
Mime 10 can be found in the Floating Manor optional dungeon once the player obtains the ability to fly. To find this Mime, ride the elevator in the plaza up to the path where you fought Goblu, there will be a small zipline you can go down to the left. Follow the path it leads you to to find the mime.

Defeating this mime in combat will earn you the Clea hairstyle for Maelle.
Continent
Two mimes can be found within the same location on the Continent world map. Just go to the island pictured below and you will find them holding hands. Defeat both of them to obtain the Voluminous hairstyles for Lune and Sciel.

Sunless Cliffs
The final mimes in the game can all be found within the Sunless Cliffs area. In fact, they are the only thing in this area at all. Once you enter here your party members will be allowed to challenge the mimes one at a time, with each fight rewarding the bald hairstyle.

These fights are some of the toughest in the game as even being hit once by a mime here is enough to kill you. So practice your counters and prepare to get those final costumes.
