The ultimate victory on any modern Call of Duty Zombies map is clearing the vaunted Easter Egg Quest. It is the only way to truly win at CoD zombies and furthers the narrative between maps.
Black Ops 6 continues this tradition and adds to it in some delightful ways. Liberty Falls features one of the easiest Easter Egg hunts in recent memory but will still pose quite a challenge over regular gameplay. The final challenge is a three stage lockdown in a fairly confined space so be prepared for that.
First Things First
The first step is to follow the onscreen prompts and investigate the town. This is a solid first step whether you’re doing the Easter Egg or not, familiarize yourself with the layout and in particular the location of the various Perk machines.
This will eventually lead you to the church at the top of the hill that is emanating Dark Aether energy. Inside you’ll find the Pack-a-Punch machine and another conspicuous device along one of the walls.
Interact with that second machine to begin the Easter Egg. A white light will flash and you’ll be treated to some exposition via an ethereal Panos on the second floor balcony.
You won’t be attacked by zombies during this exposition unless you provoke them so you can take this chance to catch your breath and farm some of the Dark Aether crystals in the church for loot.
Portal Device Pieces
Once you are thoroughly expositioned you’ll need to collect three parts from around the map using the sucking feature on the Jet Gun. You can potentially get the Jet Gun from the mystery box or other various weapon dropping methods around the map but your best bet is to just craft it at the motel. I’ll include a link to that guide here for reference.

When you do get the Jet Gun head back to the church and floating just to the left of Panos on the second floor balcony will be a top hat looking part, suck that up.

Next head to Washington Ave and clamber onto the rooftop directly above Speed Cola. From there you should be able to easily jump onto the white box truck just in front that has Dr. Pelletier’s corpse on it. Once there look for an open window just up and to the left of Speed Cola and suck up the part floating inside.

The final piece is located at Ollie’s Comics inside the ceiling. It’s just about dead center in the building and you can see it through a big hole in the ceiling panels. Nab it.

You might also notice some action figures in there being sucked up at the same time since its such a small space but you can ignore those. They’re part of a separate side easter egg.
With those three parts in hand head to the top of the bank aka “The Alamo” and locate the crafting table in one corner. Interact with it to build the portal device and then pick it up.

HVT 1
At this point you can now head to either one of the Dark Aether storm locations on the map.
These are the spots that have purple lightning constantly raining down. One is in the church cemetery, the other is next to the bus outside Ollie’s Comics.
Interacting with one of the pedestals at these locations will insert the portal device and start a timer. You need to defend the opening portal until the timer runs out.
Event zombies will start spawning and sprinting at the device and it’s pretty fragile so keep your head on a swivel. Use distractions or turrets if possible.

As soon as the countdown ends a High Value Target will spawn in. If you chose the cemetery it will be an Abomination, the other one will spawn an Uber Mangler.
Now before you kill the HVT quickly head back to the church and interact with the STG machine again to retrieve an aether canister.

Take that canister to any Dark Aether trap location and place it on the ground next to one of the trap’s emitters. The goal is to weaken the HVT and once it’s down to say 25% health lure it next to that canister.
Activate the trap and kill the HVT while it’s inside the area of effect closest to the canister and you’ll catch it inside Ghostbusters style.

Take the filled canister back to the STG device in the church. Once you pick it up you’ll have a short timer to get it back. You can’t sprint while holding a canister so this can be a tricky step.
My advice is to just always put the canister on the trap emitter closest to the church to make this MUCH easier.
Strauss Counter
When you insert the canister back into the machine a Strauss counter device should spawn. Pick it up (noting that this will use your tactical equipment slot so maybe use your shock charge or whatever you have first) and head out of the church.
There are three devices dotted around the map, they look like little scanners on tripods.
One is on the grassy knoll next to PhD Flopper.

One is near the toolshed in the groundskeeper’s yard.

The third is on the roof of the ice cream shoppe (accessible via a clearable barrier on the bank rooftop).

When you’re near one of the devices you’ll be able to use the Strauss counter. It will display either red, green or yellow. You need to interact with the scanner device until it matches a corresponding color.
If the Strauss counter reads yellow the device needs to be yellow. If the Strauss says red the device needs to be green, and if the Strauss says green the scanner device needs to be red.
If you’ve calibrated all three correctly you’ll get an audio cue and the devices will all turn towards the gas station spawn location. They’ll start shooting purple beams towards the damage emitting device there and will remove that painful aura.
HVT 2
You can now approach that device and retrieve another aether canister. Again take the canister to any of the Dark Aether trap emitters and put it down.
Now go get the portal device from whichever Dark Aether storm you used the first time and take it to the other one. Interact with it, defend the portal and the other HVT will pop out eventually.
Same as before, weaken it and then lure it to the aether canister, turn on the trap and kill it while it’s inside the purple circle of the trap.

Take that second aether canister back to the church and insert it into the machine.

Now you’ll be able to interact with the machine one last time to start the final lockdown. This will take place in the church so you will have access to an ammo cache and the PaP machine but I still recommend getting as upgraded as possible before initiating this step.
Final Preparation
Spend whatever salvage you have now because you won’t be able to spend it once the lockdown starts. I recommend decoys and monkey bombs for sure. Also if you can afford them, mutant injections will make your life so much easier on this lockdown.
Chopper gunners, hellstorms and LDBRs won’t work for this lockdown so get rid of them in favor of other scorestreaks.
Church Lockdown
Once you’re ready interact with the STG machine to initiate a vote to start the lockdown. There will be three waves. The first is vanilla, just zombies, spiders and a few regular manglers. HVTs will appear on waves 2 and 3.
It’s very easy to get cornered in here so try and stay away from walls and corners and always be moving.
Any area of effect weapon will work wonders in such a small space, I find the Jet Gun’s secondary fire to be particularly useful for clearing your immediate area.
At the end of wave 1 a Max Armor will spawn and for clearing wave 2 you’ll get a Max Ammo. Once wave 3 is finished your screen will flash and your entire team will be automatically downed. A cinematic will play and that’s that!

You can either end your game there having won or you have the option to continue at the current round. If you do continue you’ll be awarded a bunch of Bonus Points, a handful of legendary tier weapons including a Ray Gun and some aether tools/and crystals to instantly upgrade and pack-a-punch your guns.

Final Thoughts
It’s not the most intense Easter Egg but I think it’s a decent one for the very first map of a new game. You can pretty much do every step of this egg on your own which is nice when you’re playing with randos that you cannot get to cooperate.
The biggest trip up for this one is the HVT capture missions. So much time can be wasted by killing HVT outside of the trap zone or failing to defend the portal or get the canisters back to the church on time. Keep an eye on those steps.
