Fans of Bethesda and Tango Softwork’s Hi-Fi Rush have been waiting with bated breath for the company to announce that the game would be releasing on platforms other than Xbox Series S|X.
This waiting has been caused by many leaks and rumors throughout the early months of 2024 about Hi-Fi Rush being one of four Xbox game titles to be going multi-platform this year. With titles like Grounded and Pentiment being revealed during the February 21 Nintendo Direct, it felt like Hi-Fi Rush could be revealed at any minute.
That feeling of the reveal happening any minute became literal as Bethesda suddenly released a trailer for the game on YouTube! This trailer confirmed that the game would be releasing on PlayStation 5 very soon, the 18th of March 2024 to be exact!
As this trailer was only uploaded to a Bethesda’s second LATAM channel and is currently an unlisted upload which will not appear in search results, this was potentially an accidentally early announcement.
Interestingly, there is no mention of a Nintendo Switch version of Hi-Fi Rush in this trailer, as it only highlights that the game will be coming to PlayStation platforms. Causing many to speculate on if a Switch release will come later or if the game will potentially be launching for the Switch 2 when that console is revealed.
UPDATE: The trailer has now been set to private, further confirming that the trailer was uploaded by Bethesda LATAM earlier than intended.
With Grounded, Pentiment, and Hi-Fi Rush now being confirmed to be releasing on multiple platforms, gamers around the world have their eyes on Microsoft as they await the 4th multi-platform game to be revealed. With many rumors suggesting that it may be the 2018 title Sea of Thieves.
Hi-Fi Rush is currently available to purchase for Xbox Series S|X, pre-orders are not currently available for the PlayStation 5 version of the game.
