Max Level in Battle Brothers
Though there are many levels you can get in Battle Brothers, the max level you cap out and stop receiving perks is level 11.
However, you can still gain experience and levels past that. The levels you gain over level 11 in Battle Brothers are called “Veteran Levels” and they only give you +1 stat increases, as opposed to the normal 1-5 stat points.
The maximum level you can achieve for a bro in Battle Brothers is 33. Before the Warriors of the North DLC, the old maximum level was 42, but the developers considered that the game was too easy.

How Vetaran Levels Work in Battle Brothers
Experience works differently once you achieve level 11. To get levels over 11, you will only need to get 4k experience + 1k per Veteran level.
Though Veteran levels are considered by many Battle Brothers players useless, just think that from level 11 to 33, you can increase your Melee Skill, and another 2 skills, by 22.
