Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom – All Pieces of Heart Locations Guide

If you’ve seen our interactive map, then it means you already know all of the Pieces of Heart locations. However, most of them have complicated puzzles to get to your destination, so I’ve decided to also explain how to get each one of them. So, here is how to get each and every single Piece of Heart in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.

All Pieces of Heart Locations in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

You start the game with 3 Hearts, and you can reach 13 Hearts, if you manage to pick up all of the 40 Pieces of Hearts, scattered across the game.

Suthorn Beach

There are 2 Pieces of Heart in the starting area of the game, and you can easily get them both right then and there.

Piece of Heart #1

Right when you reach a part where you have to swim in the sea, you can see a floating Piece of Heart on the left side of the screen. Just summon a Wooden Box which will float right next to the platform, and jump to reach your destination.

Piece of Heart #2

Inside the Beach Cave, impossible to miss. To get to it, you will need to break those Wooden Boxes. Climb the rocky wall, up to the platform shown in the image below. Then, just drop rocks one by one while retrieving them (hold ZR), until all boxes have been destroyed.

Suthorn Village

You can buy one from the Village Shop for 80 Rupees.

Suthorn Forest

Inside the cave, you will see it immediately after entering it. Go down the ladder to the left and fight the Caromadillo by just spawning Sea Urchins in the space where it keeps rolling around until it dies.

After that you’ll reach a section blocked off by a lot of Wooden Boxes. Just spawn a Caromadillo that will roll and break them all.

In the last section, just spawn two Caromadillos to fight the one there, and jump from one climbable rock wall to the other until you reach the Piece of Heart.

Suthorn Prairie

Right in the middle of the Prairie, there’s a little lake with a lot of columns surrounding it. The Piece of Heart is on top of the column in the water. The solution here is using a lot of beds. Go to the right and climb on the tree. Then, use beds to get on top of the first stone column.

You can also use a Crawltula and attach yourself to it to climb the first column.

Then use beds again to reach the middle column. The bed is, by far, the best parkour tool in the game.

Gerudo Desert

Piece of Heart #1

South of Gerudo Town, there’s a large space with a lot of sand hills. Destroy the small one in the middle using Tornado. The Piece of Heart is inside the sand hill.

Piece of Heart #2

In the northern part of Gerudo Town, there’s a palace. Climb to the top of it on the right side and climb the cliff behind it. There’s a ladder on top, behind the castle.

To pass the first part of the cave, you’ll need to walk past the yellow enemy blocks and climb the little cocky staircase. Then, jump on top of the yellow block to reach the next area. Now comes the hard part.

Jump down on the Wooden Boxes and place a Strandtula on the second row of boxes. Climb to the right empty space and press X while looking down to attach yourself to the large boulder. Walk back and pull the rock while standing on the first row of boxes until the boulder is on the same height as you.

Jump to the right and place the boulder on the right cliff. Drop a Sea Urchin on the boxes and walk right up to the Piece of Heart at the end of the cave. Don’t get rid of the spider, as it will help you get out as well. Otherwise, you can just use a Crawltula to get out.

Piece of Heart #3

North of the Oasis, right on top of a rock column. Getting the Gerudo Sandals from Gerudo Town Shop would help, since the whole area is full of quicksand.

Go to the left and climb the little cliffs there. Then, jump to the column to the right and use Tornado to bump the cactus off the second platform.

Jump to the right and walk to the south. If you pan the camera, you can see the place where the Piece of Heart is resting. Now, you can just use the classic bed strategy to make a bridge to your destination.

Hyrule Field

Piece of Heart #1

In the middle of the little forest, on top of a tree stump. Defeat the Peahat and then you can easily climb there using a bed.

Piece of Heart #2

Walk to the west of the Hyrule Ranch. You’ll reach a lake guarded by Octoroks. Defeat them using whatever summon you prefer and then use beds to reach the pillar on the right.

From the pillar, summon a bed while facing the heart, which will fall on the water and float. Jump down on it and use a Crawltula to get to the Piece of Heart.

Piece of Heart #3

Northwest of the previous heart there’s a cave. Inside the cave, your path will be blocked by two Boulders. What you need to do here is walk inside the space to the right and then double press LZ to target the Boulder inside. Then press X to attach yourself to it and walk to the left to drop the Boulder in the hole on the other side.

Then, walk to the right again and attach yourself to the Boulder on the right. Walk to the left to make the Boulder touch the other one and climb the ladder. Once the Boulder is high enough to be above the one on the left, drop to the left from the ladder. Just hold down the stick to the left.

Zelda will drop and the Boulder should be on top of the other one just slightly. Move to the left until the Boulder does not fall on top of the other and you can jump your way to the Piece of Heart.

Piece of Heart #4

Bind yourself to the big boulder next to cave and climb the path to the southwest to drag it on the next level. The Heart will be right under it.

Piece of Heart #5

Use Crawltula to climb to the top of the pillar. Otherwise, climb the stone fence to the south and use beds to reach the top.

Piece of Heart #6

Instead of entering the cave where the Heart is located, climb the hill to the northwest. There’s a little brown spot there, surrounded by grass. Use a monster that drills into the ground, like the Holmill, to create a hole there.

Jump into the hole and you’ll immediately reach the Piece of Heart.

Hyrule Ranch

In the western part of Hyrule Field, you’ll find the Hyrule Ranch.

Hyrule Castle

Piece of Heart #1

First, talk to the little kid with the dog in the south-western part of Hyrule Castle Town. He’ll ask you to show him a Zol, the small little green slime from the start of the game. Summon it and show it.

Then, show him the Ignizol, the candle slime, followed by the Hydrozol, the water slime. The quest will be done and then you’ll have to get a second quest from him to show a Zol Automaton. The reward for the final quest is the Piece of Heart.

Piece of Heart #2

On the grass to the north-east of Hyrule Castel, overlooking the river. It’s impossible to miss.

Zora Cove

Piece of Heart #1

Go inside the cave southwest of Seesyde Village, defeat one of the Hydrozols and get their echo, if you haven’t done it yet, and advance. In the cave with the three lit up braziers, summon Hyrdozols on them to extinguish them. The doors will open and the heart will be through the door to the north.

Piece of Heart #2

In the eastern part of the Cove, use a Bombfish to destroy the cracked rock underwater.

Faron Wetlands

Piece of Heart #1

In the eastern part of the cave. Just use beds or Clouds to get to the Heart, which can easily be seen by walking around the cave.

Hebra Mountain

Piece of Heart #1

In the north western part of Hebra Mountain. Use stones to destroy the rolling snowballs and a bed to reach the pillar with the Heart.

Eldin Volcano Trail

Just climb to the cliff using a Crawltula or drop from up there right at the Heart.

Piece of Heart #1

The easiest way to reach this Heart surrounded by lava is to use Clouds. If you don’t have Clouds yet, you can use Lava Rocks to build a bridge there.

Piece of Heart #2

This time, you go around the Heart #1, on the ledge to the side, and reach the northern part of the area. You’ll Lava Rocks which fly when the lava explodes. You can either use Clouds to reach the location on the left or platform on the Lava Rocks and summon one on the exploding lava.

After that, just walk to the south and you’ll find the Heart.
