Every single boss fight character in the first arc of Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave can be recruited by the player, even if it doesn’t really make sense as to why they’re suddenly in your party. Nuzzo is the perfect example of this as despite him not even competing in the Heroic Games, you can still find him wandering around Dagison and can recruit him if you’re willing to put a little work into befriending him. How to Recruit Nuzzo in Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave
Every unit’s recruitment requirements varies depending on your route in order to make sure you don’t rely on the same party for all characters. Some protagonists can get Nuzzo relatively early while others will need to wait quite a while to get him. Here are him recruitment requirements across all four routes.

While no character can recruit Nuzzo particularly early, Theodora will have the easiest time convincing him to join her side as he’ll only need 1 support level and 6 Renown for her. Dietrich will also have an easier time recruiting him than most characters as his special requirement is lower, although Dietrich will have to wait until he hits 9 Renown.
As for what that special requirement entails, Nuzzo will ask you to give him 3 Iron bows before he’ll consider joining your team (Only 2 if you are Dietrich). Depending on how far you are into the game this task will either be very simple or a bit annoying to accomplish, as the Blacksmith only stocks a limited amount of Iron Bows per chapter.
If you’re looking to recruit Nuzzo within a single Free Time, you can get Iron Bows quickly from the following locations
- The Blacksmith in Dagison
- The Vandahl Trading Company
- Orens (City on the eastern side of the continent)
Once you have obtained three different Iron Bows, give them to Nuzzo and he’ll join your party. His personal ability is a very simple one as it just gives him +3 Attack if he already has advantage against a foe.
