Anatolia’s clan is one of the most interesting ones in Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, as while the player is never privy to the contents of the journey they’re going through, it’s very clear that something happens which enlightens many of them on a personal level throughout the game. Even though we don’t know what happened in Anatolia’s currently nonexistent route, we can still take the time to recruit her party members to our side and use them during combat. How to Recruit Dadao in Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave
Every unit’s recruitment requirements varies depending on your route in order to make sure you don’t rely on the same party for all characters. Some protagonists can get Dadao relatively early while others will need to wait quite a while to get him. Here are his recruitment requirements across all four routes.

Due to Dadoa’s primary character trait being about him searching for someone to love him, he is much more willing to join the parties of the game’s female protagonists Leda and Theodora than he is to join men like Cai and Dietrich. If you want to recruit Dadao as either of them then you better hurry up and begin to gift him items he loves like Tales of Adventure and Poems of the Great.
After raising your Support Level with Dadao high enough and reaching the appropriate amount of Renown, you’ll be given a request by Dadao before you can recruit him. At this point, you may begin to suspect that Dadao is a complete joke character as he has an utterly ridiculous recruitment requirement of giving him 2 Kothar Gar.
You likely don’t need to be told where to get Kothar Gar as you retrieved them during the tutorial for searching, but just in case you are in need of them, they can be gathered in the fishing spot on the world map exactly one space to the left of Dagison. Even if you don’t have any, it’ll only take you a single turn to go and get them for Dadao.
For your lack of effort, you’ll be rewarded with a party member who has a personal skill that gives him +5 Attack if he’s fighting an enemy who is slow to the point of not being able to perform a follow-up attack.
