While many people have begun to speculate that Orchel and her party will be part of a DLC storyline for Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, for now they remain as another clan that the player must fight against in the Heroic Games. Don’t worry though, as you will be able to recruit all of Orchel’s friends to your side with some careful negotiation and spamming the inn’s meal feature as much as you can. One member of her party though, Diego, has something a little extra for his recruit requirement. How to Recruit Diego in Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave
Every unit’s recruitment requirements varies depending on your route in order to make sure you don’t rely on the same party for all characters. Diego is one of few exception to this rule, as due to his recruitment being tied directly to a Paralogue every protagonist must wait until the same date to recruit him.

Despite the Renown and Support requirement for Diego being different among all four protagonists, he is actually a character that must be recruited at the exact same time for all four of them. From 10/18 to 10/21, the player will be able to accept an optional Paralogue quest from Orchel via speaking to her at Dagison.
This Paralogue will lead the player to a very unique map where they must activate a catapult via splitting their army in half and flipping two switches at the same time. There is a massive number of enemies on this map so don’t expect it to be as easy as Talimun and Bertrand’s Paralogues were. Due to the large number of mages and pegasus units on the map, I’d recommend bringing pugilists and archers to counter them.
Once you have cleared the Paralogue, return to Dagison and raise Diego’s Support level as high as you need to via giving him gifts, taking to feasts, and watching theater performances with him. Once his Support level has been raised high enough, he’ll join your party without any further fuss.
