If the player wants to recruit units as Cai in Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, they’re going to need to do a lot of side questing in order to become renowned enough for people to want to join you. While plenty of these quests involve going out into the world and fighting packs of thieves in typical Fire Emblem fashion, other quests will ask you to instead familiarize yourself with the city of Dagison and look for specific NPCs or items. One of these quests, “A Peculiar Message” appears in Cai’s 5th chapter and asks you to locate two women holding brooms in the city. If you are having any difficulty finding these NPCs, feel free to consult the following walkthrough.
A Peculiar Message Quest Walkthrough
Speak to the woman with the broom near the bulletin board in Dagison’s midtown and she’ll give you a very strange request. She wants you to find her two sisters and deliver them the message “The goal has been achieved”. With an ominous request like that, how could we not drop everything to look for her sisters?
Luckily, we won’t need to travel far to find them as not only are both of her sisters in Dagison, but they’re both in midtown. To find the first sister, make your way to the alleyway just south of midtown’s Shopping Arcade and you’ll find a woman with the exact same model as the quest giver holding a broom. Speak to her and she’ll return to her sister.
As for the second sister, you can find her a bit to the west. Walk through the archways behind the fountain in the Arena Plaza and you’ll find another woman with the same character model holding a broom, this is the other sister. Speak to her and she’ll immediately return to her sister,
Now that we’ve found both sister, make your way back to the quest giver to complete the quest and learn exact what the goal they were trying to achieve was. For your efforts you’ll be rewarded with 2000 gold and 180 renown, a very generous gift for a quest that you can complete within a single turn.
