Five endings. All of them are decided in a single conversation, and which ones you are offered depends on the kind of ruler you have been. Exactly what you like to hear when you’re faced with choices upon choices a whole game. Five “main” endings, cause there are also a bunch of bad ends, but we’re not counting those. There are also character endings, with each character getting a special ending based on what happened, and there’s also variations based on how often you used the demon power. In this guide I will show you exactly how to get all of the endings in Sovereign Tower and, with obvious spoiler warning if you really want to see, some details on what goes down for each one of them.
When the Main Ending is Chosen
Your ending is picked in one conversation, at the Emperor’s ultimatum, at cycle 45. Nothing before that locks anything in, and nothing after it changes your mind.
The conversation runs in three stages:
- The Emperor sizes you up. He reacts to whichever sovereign style you have the most points in.
- You respond. The options you get depend on that judgement.
- You commit. Some choices end the game there, others hand you a final quest first.
If you fail that final quest, or fail the ultimatum itself, you do not get an ending at all.
Sovereign Archetype Endings
Your highest sovereign style is the gate. The Emperor treats you as that kind of ruler, and offers a matching set of responses.
| Your top style | Endings you can pick |
|---|---|
| None (all four at 10 or below, or all tied) | War, Tower Destruction |
| Tyrannic | War, War (extended), Tower Destruction |
| Audacious | War, Marry, Peace (with the Key), Tower Destruction |
| Kind | War, Surrender, Peace (with the Key), Tower Destruction |
| Wise | War, Peace, Surrender, War (extended), Tower Destruction |
Three things follow from this:
- Marriage is Audacious-only. No other branch offers it.
- Wise is the most flexible branch, opening four of the five.
- Being a centrist is a trap. If no style passes 10 points, or all four are level, you can only fight or bring the tower down. Pick a lane during your reign.
War and Tower Destruction are always available, from every branch.
All 5 Main Endings
War
What it is. You meet the Empire on the battlefield and win. Bretania comes out dominant and stays that way — the kingdom’s future is built on conquest rather than settlement.
How to get it. Available from every branch. Choose to fight, then win The final confrontation (6 knights, STR 15, AGI 11, MAG 7, WIT 4, LCK 4).
It also has an extended version, a longer, stranger and bloodier epilogue that goes considerably further than simple victory. It needs the Golden Key and the World domination quest (6 knights, STR 15, AGI 12), and is offered on the Tyrannic and Wise branches.
Peace Treaty
What it is. A negotiated settlement in which the two powers end up as equals rather than victor and vanquished.
How to get it. Offered on the Wise branch directly, and on Audacious or Kind if you hold the Golden Key and offer it in exchange for peace.
There are two routes to the same ending, and one is far easier:
- With Victoria on your roster — the ending resolves in the conversation. No final quest at all.
- Without her — you must first win The final battle (8 knights, STR 12, AGI 8, CHA 11, MAG 6, WIT 3, LCK 3). It is a tournament rather than a war, and gentler than the war quests, but it wants your whole roster.
Two versions of the ending:
| Without the Golden Key | The treaty holds at first, then gradually comes apart. Not a happy long term. |
| With the Golden Key | You hand the Key over as a gesture of commitment, and the settlement holds. |
Marry
What it is. Rather than fight the Emperor, you propose to him. The two realms merge into a single enormous state, with an open question about whether it can hold together.
How to get it. Audacious branch only. Choose the proposal, and the ending resolves in the conversation, no final quest.
The scene has a romantic and a non-romantic route through it, but both lead to the same ending.
Surrender
What it is. You hand the kingdom over rather than spend lives defending it. Brizh continues under the Empire, and you take a very different role in it.
How to get it. Offered on the Kind and Wise branches. Choose to submit, and the ending resolves in the conversation, no final quest.
This ending has two versions, and they are opposites:
| Surrender by choice – offered before you are beaten | Bloodless, generous terms, and a dignified place for you afterwards. |
| Surrender in defeat – after losing | Far darker. It does not end well for the Sovereign. |
Tower Destruction
What it is. You bring the Tower down and end its influence for good. The kingdom is left to rebuild without it, and your reign is remembered for the destruction rather than the rule.
How to get it. Available from every branch, via the option about keeping the Golden Key for your own purposes. Then run The final confrontation, the same war quest.
It is structurally different from the other four:
- Ends the run early, at the next cycle transition.
- Skips both epilogues, no demon scene, no knight send-offs.
- No “try again” prompt after the credits.
The Character Slides Endings
After the main ending, everyone who served you gets a farewell slide, an illustration and a short send-off saying where they ended up. This is the longest part of the ending and the part you have the most control over.
Who Appears
Knights: only those still on your Round Table at the end.
Servants: everyone you recruited. Arlin, the Lady of the Tower, Carina, Belladonna, Sagadin, Rupin and Rowan all get slides. The Demon never does. Alwena appears once either way, as a knight if you knighted her, otherwise as staff.
What Changes a Slide
Four things, and most characters respond to at least one:
| Factor | Who it changes |
|---|---|
| Romance | Gideon, Gwendan, Ursula, Brunhilda, Ligia, Oliver, Rowan, Carina, Belladonna, the Lady of the Tower |
| Which ending you chose | Angelica, Brunhilda, Childeric, Tarcus (tyrannic); Gwendan, Gideon, Brunhilda, Oliver (marriage); Tarcus (surrender or defeat) |
| Evolutions | Arron, Dulahan, Oliver, Edith, Gwendan, Ursula, Alwena |
| Death | Ursula – she has a slide for having died at all |
Fourteen characters have a single fixed slide regardless of anything: Goberto, Gothild, Silgur, Rufus, The Wolf, Chester, Zolta, Daguez, Ari, Epicrate, Sagadin, Rupin, Arlin and Victoria.
The Demon Power Ending
A separate epilogue about what your use of the demon did to you, played after the main ending and before the character slides.
It only appears if you rewound time at least once. Every rewind raises your corruption by one, and corruption is the only thing this epilogue looks at.
| Rewinds | What plays |
|---|---|
| 0 | Nothing |
| 1–19 | The lighter version |
| 20+ | The lighter version and a second, darker one |
Vaguely: it deals with something changing in the kingdom, and in you. The more you leaned on the power, the further that goes.
It never plays on the Tower Destruction ending, which skips both this and the character slides.
