On July 20th, 2026, Kadokawa Shoten and Type-Moon announced that the final Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya anime would be airing in 2027. This TV anime will be the end of the series’ 3Rei arc and be a direct follow-up to the 2021 movie Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya: Licht – The Nameless Girl.
While this new anime announcement has caused some confusion as the Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya 3Rei manga is still ongoing, several readers have pointed out that the manga’s final battle has been ongoing for a decade currently (extended by the manga going on hiatus frequently). As such, many expect the 3Rei arc of the manga to be ending very soon
Alongside the announcement, Silver Link character designer Kazuya Hirata released an illustration of the three main protagonists Illya, Miyu, and Chloe.

The Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya manga began publication began publication in Kadokawa Shoten’s Comp Ace magazine in 2007 and has been ongoing to this day, albeit with title changes for each of the manga’s three main arcs.
The anime adaptation of the manga, produced by animation studio Silver Link, first aired in July 2013. The anime currently consists of four main seasons, two movies, and three OVAs which currently adapt the story all the way up to the final battle of the manga’s 3Rei arc.
