Snap & Grab is a game that heavily encourages player experimentation and trying every possible method for completing a heist. The first non-tutorial heist, the Apartment Key, is no exception. While the game might restrict the player to only six steps for this heist, there are several viable methods for stealing this item. If you are having any trouble figuring out the correct method or are simply trying to clear every challenge in your notebook, feel free to use this walkthrough for all methods on how to steal the Apartment Key in Snap & Grab
How the Steal the Apartment Key in Snap & Grab
Every heist in Snap & Grab can be completed in multiple ways, with your notebook listing the various alternate methods as challenges after you succeed in stealing the item once. In order to be a definitive walkthrough, we shall detail every viable method for stealing the Apartment Key.
There are four different methods for stealing the Apartment Key in Snap & Grab. Most of these methods reward a single star while the fourth will reward two stars
Method 1 – Crushing the Statue
We’ll start with what was my first method for stealing the key, crushing the statue holding it to bits! While walking around the dance floor, you may notice the large chandelier hanging above the statue. Follow the wires connected to the chandelier to the left half of the second floor and you’ll find a Lever.
Pulling this lever will crush the statue, but it’s not enough to make a clean getaway as Eric Pop will freak out and alarm security if he notices you doing that. So in order to steal the key, we’ll need to find a way to distract him. Go to the right side of the Dance Floor and photograph the Record Player there. Making your employee grab this during the heist will make Eric run over to see what’s going on.
With a way to destroy the statue and a method to distract Eric written down, it’s time to enact our plan. Open your planner and input the following steps to succeed.
- Grab the Music Record from the Dance Floor
- Pull the Chandelier Lever
- Grab the Apartment Key
It’s a short and simple plan, but one that works wonders.
Method 2 – Melting the Statue
Crushing ice isn’t the only way to get rid of it. For this heist method, we’re only going to make a single change to our plan. On the dance floor, near the statue, you’ll see a junction box for controlling the Hot Party Lights. Take a photo of it so we can use it in our plan.
Now that we can use the Hot Party Lights, make this your heist plan:
- Grab the Music Record from the Dance Floor
- Use the Hot Party Lights
- Grab the Apartment Key
Another quick and easy method in the bag!
Method 3 – Throw the Statue
Our previous two methods both revolved around bringing something to the statue to break it, but what if we brought the statue somewhere else instead? If you walk up the stairs to the third floor of the apartment you’ll spot a Broken Banister on the balcony. This is what we’re going to use to break the statue.
However, it we bring the statue to this Banister and throw it off, we’ll alert the nearby guard. If you want to make a clean getaway, you must first distract the guard. Thankfully, the same distraction method from the tutorial will work here, as we just need to break the nearby fountain as part of our plan. To break the statue this way, make a heist plan out of the following steps
- Gran the Music Record from the Dance Floor
- Grab the Statue
- Throw the Statue off the Broken Banister on the third floor balcony
- Break the Fountain
- Grab the Apartment Key
Method 4 – Cut the Statue
Now that we’ve gone over the simplest methods, let’s talk about one that needs a few more steps to accomplish but will reward you with more stars for doing: Cutting the Statue to pieces! To do this, we’ll need to grab something sharp first.
If you head to the library to the left of the dance floor (one room past the chef you can steal the outfit of), you’ll spot a large Diamond-Fin Fish on the wall. This is what we’ll need to use to cut the statue. However, there is a guard watching it. In order to distract this guard, you should also photograph the Leaky Water Cooler that’s right next to the Library.
With these two items photographed, make the following heist plan:
- Grab the Music Record from the Dance Floor
- Spill the Leaky Water Cooler next to the library
- Grab the Diamond-Fin Fish
- Cut the Statue
- Grab the Apartment Key
With that completed, we have successfully stolen the Apartment Key in every way possible!
