Snap & Grab’s third heist, the Toilet Shark, is where the game finally takes off the training wheels and gives the player free reign to make incredibly long and complex plans without any real guidance. This leads to an incredibly fun puzzle solving experience that encourages the player to experiment, but can also be hard to wrap your head around if you’re trying to complete all challenges in your heist notebook. If you are having any difficulty stealing this particular item, then please feel free to use this walkthrough for all methods on how to steal the Toilet Shark in Snap & Grab

How to Steal the Toilet Shark in Snap & Grab

There are three different viable methods for stealing the Toilet Shark in Snap & Grab, all of which will require you to make full use of both of your crewmates.

Method 1 – Scooping the Shark

Now, before we even begin to plan our heist, we need to actually find the Toilet Shark. This little cutie is located in the bathroom on the staff floor of the apartment. This area is off-limits though, so you’ll need to steal the chef’s hat like you did in the tutorial to make your way down here.

Next to the Toilet Shark there will be a chef who loves it. If we want to take the shark for ourselves we’ll need to find a way to get our crew down here, a way to scoop up the shark, and a way to distract the chef near it. To make things simple, we’ll go over it in the order of operations.

To start off, getting your crew down to the staff floor won’t be a challenge at all as getting them there was part of the game’s tutorial heist. Just make sure Brick breaks the fountain as the first step of your plan and they’ll be able to sneak right by. On the right side of the staff floor, you’ll also be able to find a perfect object for scooping up the Toilet Shark: A Bucket

Unfortunately, the janitor next to the bucket will be your biggest obstacle in the entire episode. If he sees your crew doing anything at all on this floor, he will call the guards. He will not talk to the Conversationalist, He will not investigate weird noises around him, he cannot be distracted. If we’re going to steal this bucket from him, we will need to make sure there is no guard close enough for him to call.

If you go to the security room near the janitor (Where the guard he calls is stationed), you will find Loud Glass that can be tapped to distract the guard. Take a photo of this, as we’re going to be using it for our heist plan later.

After how hard it was to make it past the janitor, you can breath a sigh of relief as making the chef near the toilet move is much much easier. Inside of the bathroom with the Toilet Shark you can find a Leaky Sink. After how much we used leaky items in the Bejeweled Burger heist, you should know what we need to do with this.

With all the pieces in place, open up your heist planner and set this as your plan:

  1. Brick Breaks the Erik Pop Fountain
  2. Conversationalist Taps the Loud Glass near the security room
  3. Conversationalist Grabs the bucket
  4. Brick Turns On the Leaky Sink
  5. Conversationalist Grabs the Toilet Shark

Successfully stealing the Toilet Shark once will unlock the ability to start Apartment Heists in the kitchen, meaning you will no longer need to spend time stealing the Chef’s hat at the start of each heist that involves the kitchen.

Method 2 – Lure the Shark Out with Some Food

This method is actually the first one I used to steal the Toilet Shark, and I find it to be the simplest as it only involves items near the kitchen.

While we make our way to the Toilet Shark through the kitchen, we’ll pass by a lot of food that the chef’s are preparing for the party. One piece of food in particular should catch your eye: a large slab of meat on a plate.

Stealing this Meat Plate is much easier than the bucket as none of the chefs will call for guards. Take a photo of it and then open your heist screen to make the following plan:

  1. Brick breaks the fountain
  2. Conversationalist Grabs Meat Plate
  3. Brick turns on Leaky Sink in the bathroom
  4. Conversationalist Feeds the Toilet Shark

Once the shark is fed, he will permanently be attached to the Meat Plate, meaning the Conversationalist will be able to walk out with him without any issues.

Method 3 – The Golden Toilet

Now we get the most ridiculous and complex Toilet Shark theft method: Luring it from the toilets on the Staff Floor to Erik’s Golden Toilet on the top floor of the apartment. This method will require us to essentially scrap the heist outline we used for the first two methods and create a new one centered around clogging toilets.

This is going to be an extremely long heist, but before we can even begin planning we will need to track down this Golden Toilet. While disguised as a chef (Who can go anywhere), make your way to the top floor of the apartment and you’ll find Erik’s bedroom and private toilet. The toilet is guarded by laser alarms so even if we lure the Toilet Shark here we’ll need also need to find a way to disable those.

The Toilet Shark can be flushed from the toilet it is residing in to the nearest unclogged toilet. So in order to flush it into the Golden Toilet, we’ll need to clog all other toilets in the apartment. Thankfully there are only two. One is next to the toilet with the Toilet Shark and the other is in a small room to the right of the dance floor.

Toilets can be clogged with any held item, but for simplicity we will be using the pile of hot dogs to the left of the dance floor. Now that we have fixed the toilet problem, let’s take care of those alarm lasers around the golden toilet.

Make your way to the security room (tap the glass to lure the guard away), and go to the cubicle in the middle of the room. Photograph the note that states the code for the alarms (I am unsure if this step is needed) and then take a picture of the alarm control system itself.

With all the necessary items photographed, we can begin our heist. Because this is already a very large plan, we’re going to lure the Toilet Shark out of the Golden Toilet using the Meat Plate method instead of grabbing the Bucket. Here is the heist plan that works:

  1. Brick Grabs a pile of hot dogs
  2. Conversationalist Grabs a pile of hot dogs
  3. Conversationalist Clogs the toilet on the first floor
  4. Brick Breaks the Erik Fountain
  5. Brick Clogs the Toilet on the Staff Floor (Not the one the Toilet Shark is in)
  6. Conversationalist Taps the Loud Glass near the security room
  7. Conversationalist Inputs the Alarm Code
  8. Conversationalist Grabs Meat Plate from kitchen
  9. Brick Flushes toilet with the Toilet Shark
  10. Conversationalist Grabs the Toilet Shark
