Shining Poms are some of the most infamous monsters in the Trails franchise as they are this series’ equivalent to metal slimes in the Dragon Quest games, giving high amounts of experience for comparatively little effort. Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter features several achievements which require players to defeat a lot of these creatures, including one that asks you to defeat 50 of them over the course of your playthrough. Because this is a game where backtracking is impossible, it is very important that players fight these enemies as soon as possible. If you are having trouble finding where Shining Poms spawn in any given chapter, here is a list of all Shining Pom spawn locations in Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter.
Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter – All Shining Pom Spawn Locations
Each chapter of the game, aside from the prologue, has two locations where Shining Poms can spawn. If you want to complete the game’s bestiary, you must defeat at least one Shining Pom in every chapter of the game as each area has its own bestiary in your Bracer Notebook. Make sure you do NOT leave any area until you have beaten a Shining Pom in it.
Prologue Shining Pom Spawn Locations
You’ll find your very first pack of Shining Poms in the game on the Milch Main Road near the entrance to Perzel Farm. They will try to run away fast if you attack them in Quick Battle mode so make sure you switch to Command Battle as soon as you see them.
Chapter 1 Shining Pom Spawn Locations
The first and most consistent Shining Pom spawn point in Chapter 1 can be found at the corner right between West Bose Hwy and Ravennue Trail.
I have also been able to verify that Shining Poms can spawn in this part of the map, but unlike the other location I have only seen them spawn here a single time over the course of multiple playthroughs.
Chapter 2 Shining Pom Spawn Locations
Both of the Shining Pom spawn locations in chapter 2 are located alongside the beaches between the Mercia Orphanage and the city of Ruan
Chapter 3 Shining Pom Spawn Locations
There are two consistent Shining Pom spawn locations in the game’s third chapter. The first is located in the northeastern part of the map, in the field immediately adjacent to the entrance to Wolf Fort.
The second is right outside of the Crimson Tower. If you’re lucky, you’ll run right into them after the plot has you fight those two armored soldiers there during the plot.
Chapter 4 Shining Pom Spawn Locations
The map in chapter four is a large circle that splits into two paths. Both Shining Pom spawn locations can be found on the western half of this circle. Below are the two points I could consistently get them to spawn in chapter 4.
