One of the ways to quickly upgrade your abilities and become stronger in Last Defense Academy is to increase Takumi’s grades. To do this you either need to hang out with your companions, or give them gifts. The gift solution is a lot quicker if you have the right materials and if you give them to the right person. In this guide I’ve compiled a list of all the 8 preferred gifts for each of the characters in the game, so you can get max grade points (and affinity points later on) with the resources you have.
How Gifts Work
As mentioned earlier, all characters have 8 preferred gifts. When you give them one of these preferred gifts, you’ll get rewarded with grade points (and affinity points after the first run) for their specific category. For example, giving Darumi a gift will get you Creativity points.
A preferred gift will give you 20 points the first time you give it and 10 each time afterwards.
Normal, non-preferred gifts will give 6 points.
Characters that have specialization in two subjects will give you the same amount of total points reward, but split between the two. So Takemaru will give you 10 points in Endurance and Mobility for a first time preferred gift.
When it comes to affinity, a preferred gift will always get you 5 points.
