Romeo is a Dead Man’s combat system features one unique mechanic not seen in other Suda51 games: Bastards. Bastards are zombified rotters that the player can summon to assist them during battles. To obtain a bastard the player either has to rely on RNG drops from farming enemies (quite literally as a farming animation plays when you plant the bastard seed) or fuse them on your own. Fusing bastards is generally the better option as fused bastard will always have higher stats than grown ones. In addition to this, there are a handful of Legendary Bastards which can only be obtained from fusion as seeds can only create common and rare Bastards. Below is a list of every Bastard in the game, it’s effect when summoned, and how to properly fuse them.
