The best way, by far, to make money quickly in the remake of Romancing SaGa 2 is to answer some questions in the Imperial University. Seemingly, being smart has a lot of upside in the Empire. In this guide I have listed all of the questions that the exams can throw your way and how to answer them correctly to get a lot of crowns and rewards.

How to Unlock the Imperial University and What It Does
To unlock the Imperial University in the Development menu, you will need to conquer 5 territories. Once you do, you will need to pay 2 million crowns to build it.
The Imperial University will allow the Emperor to take exams for a small fee and reward you with a large amount of crowns if all your answers are correct.
The 2nd upgrade, which will unlock more exams, will unlock after conquering 8 territories and passing the Entrance Exam. The 3rd and final one will appear after getting the Final Emperor.

There are no rewards for completing this exam besides unlocking the better exams. There are also no fees or requirements. Before the exam, check your Empire’s current revenue and keep it in mind.
