Pokemon Legends: Z-A has finally added the elemental monkey trio to Nintendo Switch. You’re going to need to catch these guys to not only complete the game’s Pokedex, but also to finish an early-game side mission, “A Pan-tastic Pot of Tea.” You’ll find them by looking up in trees or other high areas such as rooftops, but there are a lot of those to look through. Here’s the exact locations to find Pansage, Pansear, and Panpour in Pokemon Legends: Z-A.

How To Start A Pan-tastic Pot of Tea

To begin the side mission, a Pan-tastic Pot of Tea, you’ll first need to unlock it by progressing to Rank V in the Z-A Royale. Once that’s done, you can visit Cafe Cyclone in Vert Sector 3, where Servando will be standing outside ready to issue a request.

He’ll ask for you to bring him Pansage, Pansear, and Panpour to help make a new tea recipe. On top of a new menu item, you’ll also get 1,000 Pokedollars, 3 HP Up vitamins, and a White Herb as a reward.

Pansage, Pansear, and Panpour Locations

In all of the locations mentioned below, there’s a random chance which of the Pan-type will appear. In the same location either one of the 3 types can spawn.

Autumnal Avenue

The trees will be the best spots to look, since they’re easy to reach. I had the best luck finding Pansage, Pansear, and Panpour in Autumnal Avenue. It’s a long street stretching from the center of Lumiose City to the the western side of North Boulevard, with lots of trees the whole way.

It’s also very easy to get to, the quickest way being fast traveling to the Centrico Pokemon Center, north of Prism Tower, and running west from there past Rouge Street. If you see a blonde woman with a Heliolisk, you’re in the right place.

Once you get there, you just have to run between the trees while looking up to spot them. Because there are so many trees in this route, many of them will spawn here. You’re likely to catch all three in one visit if you’re just a little bit lucky. They’re very bright so you won’t miss them, but running while tapping the lock-on button, ZL, will help you spot them even easier.

Autumnal Avenue might be the best place, but it’s not the only one. Jaune Sector 4 is also a good spot. It only has three trees, but each one is likely to have one of the three Pokemon in it. To get here, you’ll want to travel to the Hibernal Pokemon Center. Once you’re there, go down the road between the center and Cafe Kizuna on the map and take a right to reach the entrance.

Hibernal Avenue is a decent spot too. It’s east of Centrico Plaza, and the street has plenty of trees. The trees are lower in quantity and further spaced from each other, so you won’t find as many monkeys as you would in Autumnal Avenue. But you’ll still find one or two, so it’s a good place to look if you don’t get all three beforehand.

Above the Bleu Pokemon Center

Now let’s talk about the rooftops. You’ll need to do a fair share of climbing to reach these spots, so I’d personally save them for last. A great place is on top of the Bleu Pokemon Center, in Bleu Sector 7. To get up there, you have to go around the buildings to find a scaffolding next to a Nouveau Cafe truck (you can even fast travel there if you have it unlocked to speed up the process).

Climb up the scaffolding and travel along the buildings until you reach above the Pokemon Center, and two Pansage, Pansear or Panpour will be waiting for you there.

Jaune Sector 2

The next rooftop spot is above the buildings in Jaune Sector 2. Go to Jaune Street, from the right side of Prism Tower, and go up the first set of stairs. Right before you get to the second set, turn right into an alleyway and you’ll see a ladder.

If you’ve visited the justice Dojo, you’d only need to fast travel there and take a quick left to reach the same ladder. Climb up and you’ll spot two monkeys a little ways to the right.

Rouge Sector 7

Now this rooftop spot is a bit far-out. You’ll need to use the Holovator to the right of the Looker Bureau on Rouge Street, in Rouge Sector 5. Then you’ll turn right and move along the rooftop until you see a small building across from you, in the bottom right of Rouge Sector 7. That building will have not only three of the monkeys, but an alpha one too.

This building is only accessible if you have Roto-Glide, which is obtained after reaching Rank E and starting the main mission, A Rogue Mega Beedrill. So if it’s for the sake of completing the side quest, you might want to hold off on trying to get them from this spot. But it’s worth keeping in mind if you ever want a giant Pansage, Pansear or Panpour to have around.
